Mostly Enjoyed It!. One of my favorite places to eat in Kennesaw is Kuroshio. To break out of my weekday routine I thought I would try Yellow Tail out. The service was prompt and courteous, which was a surprise since I was part of a 10+ party. The prices are definitely higher than Kuroshio, which I knew to expect. I ordered the chicken fried rice and the rainbow roll. Both were more than what I would have paid at Kuroshio, which was killing me. I must admit that it was worth it. The rainbow roll was a nice change but still not too crazy of a roll. The chicken fried rice was amazing. Loads of vegetables and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. For the most part, I did enjoy my experience. The only issue I had was that I was charged for Sriracha sauce. You kidding me? No sushi bar that I’ve been to has ever charged me for Sriracha sauce. For most people it would not bother them, I just was annoyed. Other than that, great experience and a nice little gem in Kennesaw.

Good sushi. This place has yummy sushi. One of my friends suggested this place after the sushi chef I frequented died. I am a sushi addict and this place is reasonably priced and it is super fresh and tasty. I’ve never had a roll I didn’t like.

Way overpriced and mediocre sushi. $9.95 for spicy tuna roll. $6 for 12 oz draft asahi. Spent $80 and very disappointed. Never going back. Too bad because it was close.

Re-review. I used to come to this restaurant on a regular basis until things changed. Ever goto a relative’s house for the holidays and you notice that they don’t have as big as a spread? Yup times have changed and the same holds true for my beloved Yellow Tail. The menu jumped in price as the portions diminished. The artistry (see Bill’s review) has taken a turn for the worst as well. If you want good sushi in Kennesaw I recommend skipping this place, don’t even look at Sushi Bites or Ru Sans and go straight to Fujihana Thai Peppers by the mall.05 Jun, 2011Please don’t listen to the haters.. I live in Kennesaw and I usually have to travel to get quality sushi. This place, even if a tiny bit more expensive than most places, is superb! The sashimi and sushi lunch specials are great! I encourage sushi lovers to abandon the other sub par sushi joints (Sushi Bites I’m looking at you) and give Yellow Tail a shot. To the reviewer that brought along someone with a shellfish allergy…do you also take your vegan friends to Longhorn’s Steakhouse? When I see great restaurants shamed by reviewers I always read between the lines to see if they’re just one of those PROBLEM people that seem to generate their own PROBLEMS where ever they may choose to eat. AppleDapple I will assume that is the case with you.

If you’re familiar with the area, this place is not like Ru Sans or Sushi Bites. No buffet and the sushi is more of the prepared roll than the order-by-piece style at those eateries. The interior was small but clean and quiet. I was the only person there during the lunch rush but that could just be due to it’s location. Parking is quickly filled by the other businesses in the same square. Service was good. I never had to ask for anything. I’m also a server’s dream because I generally don’t need anything but I never got low on water. Sushi was much higher quality that what you see at the previously mentioned sushi joints. Very tasty and presentable. Hot foods were hot and delicious. The eel and salmon were particularly good. The downside was price and serving sizes. The rolls were a little small and starting at $10. The nigiri was perfect and affordable. I’m a huge salmon nigiri lover and even though it was $1.50 per piece, it was a beautiful piece of sushi and delicious. Still, it’s not going to be as easy on the pockets as Ru Sans or Sushi Bites. No buffet was a bit of a knock but hey, there are already a few of those. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick, low-priced place to eat a lot of sushi or try new types, go to Ru Sans or Sushi Bites. If you want to eat a little more upscale and go for quality sushi, go with Yellow Tail but be ready to spend $20 on yourself if you expect to leave full. Overall: B+

Best sushi I’ve ever had. Great decor, relaxed vibe, excellent staff, huge menu.

Love the hibachi lunches. My fiance and I like to go during the day. We are always blown away how empty it is. People don’t know what they are missing out on! It’s definitely some of the best hibachi food I’ve had. The fried rice is amazing. So far I’ve tried the veggie, salmon, and filet mignon and they are all excellent. I highly recommend
