Pretty good.I’ll be quite honest and say that I think most of the Mexican places around the Augusta area are basically the same thing. If you took one dish that they all seem to clone around here, such as the enchiladas supreme (one cheese, one chicken, one ground beef…blah blah blah), even an expert couldn’t tell them apart. Azteca Maya has some je ne sais quoi quality that distinguishes them, but I can’t really put my finger on it. Thus the fact that je ne sais quoi…I don’t frickin’ know.I have been to both this location and the other one, have always enjoyed their carne asada. Recently broke my usual habit and tried the chile colorado, and was very pleasantly surprised. Tender, flavorful pork with a nice spicy kick and delicious with the tortillas, salad and a schmear of frijoles refritos. I would just say that, assuming your chakras are in tune with the average American Mexican fare, you really can’t go wrong here. Not my absolute favorite here in town, but it’ll do when I get the craving for Mexican.
