We had lunch here and although the staff and atmosphere was nice, the food was average for my taste. Had the sliders plate and the pulled pork was fairly decent but the chicken, unfortunately was dry and the burger…well…no comment. I gave it three stars with the hope that maybe it was just an off day.
Best BBQ in Augusta! I highly recommend it. The pulled pork sandwich is the best. Please try it out. The ribs and macaroni are great too.
Cooks need to put nets on those nasty beards.. The food and service are tops. But those beards on the cooks do not match up with the standard service and atmosphere presented at this restaurant. I was shocked when they came out of the kitchen. Those beards really look nasty.
First visit. My husband and I ordered the triple combo BBQ platter. The ribs were ok tasted boiled or baked not bbqed the chicken and pulled pork however were very dry and tasteless. Mac n cheese was terrible and the baked beans were a variety of beans mixed together which I never seen before but the flavor was ok. We also had a order of shrimp which was pretty good it had some type of orange spicy sauce on it. The steamed broccoli was still hard and heavily salted. The pot roast was ok but tasted more like beef stew. Wasn’t all that great for the price will not be returning.
I can’t comprehend the previous reviews that say the food is good here. Based on the food we ordered today, I’m wondering if management wrote some of these. The fried green tomatoes were the worst I’ve ever had. They weren’t homemade. Very greasy, soggy, unseasoned, just gross. The fried pickles were ok, but I could have gotten the same quality at Sonic for a dollar. (Fried green tomatoes and pickles appetizer was $7.) My lunch…I don’t even know where to begin. I ordered the pulled pork plate. At nearly $12, I would expect some high quality BBQ and sides. Not the case. Everything on the plate was cold. The food was swimming in an unexplainable quarter inch of liquid at the bottom of my plate. The pork tasted like cheap, low quality leftovers that hadn’t even been cooked well the first go round. The cornbread muffin was so greasy. It was yet another thing that did not taste homemade. My boyfriend’s food was of the same low quality, and he ate even less than I did. The only good thing I have to say is that our waitress was very nice. Hope this review was helpful. Please spend your money elsewhere.
Excellent service and awesome food! I was in there when a table of 20 people were being rude and unreasonable and the staff still remained professional. The guy that wrote that last review was probably one of them. I’ve been there three times already and I’ve only been in town a week. Try the ribs!!
Thee worst service ever. (did we really get service) walked in got seated and took 20 mins to even come take our drink order, then she didnt even want to take that for real… horrible
