Food quality going down. We have eaten at this old house with a small porch restaurant many times in the distant past and enjoyed the cooking back them from the pork chops, chicken, fish or whatever was the lunch special. The decor and atmosphere is the same old, somewhat run down building and interior but the quality of the food appears to have declined. We once again tried the lunch special as most patrons (working men (laborers) from the surrounding area) and did not find anything memorable. We may not try them again for a long time.
Best fried chicken in Columbia county. Worth the drive. We love to pick up a couple of dinners and go picnic by the lake. I’ll admit that most of the sides need improvement but the macncheese is good, the biscuits too. But we go for the chicken.
