Riverwood Mi Rancho is AWFUL!. Tried it a few times, hoping each time it will get better….it’s only gotten WORSE! Terrible drinks, terrible service, and even WORSE food!! Bland, unseasoned, scant portions, overcooked, not fresh food!
BAD BAD BAD EXPERIENCE. When people insult me I usually take it with a grain of salt. In my entire time of eating there myself or with friends I have never been insulted. I usually order 1 of 3 things. Speedy Gonzales, 3 beef tacos, or 3 beef enchiladas. It’s a rarity for me to order outside my taste zone. Anyways I placed a phone order for pick up this time I ordered 3 beef enchiladas. Upon arrival the waiter tells me that I still owe for an order from a previous lunch. I’ve never skipped out on a bill or paying for my debt. This waiter tells me that I owed and that I would need to pay before I get my lunch I just ordered for pickup. FIRST OF ALL. YOU DON’T TELL ME THAT I NEED TO DO ANYTHING WHEN I PAYED THE BILL AND IF ANYTHING WAS LEFT OFF THE TICKET WOULD BE YOUR FAULT. This last time around I payed for my business partners lunch and mine. Now I can not recall exactly what it was but I do remember handing the cashier $20 and receiving 3 maybe 4 dollars back. The waiter was determined to show me that what I payed against what I remember. MY MEMORY MAY NOT BE PERFECT BUT I ALWAYS PAY WITH A $20 UNLESS I’M BY MYSELF. This really pisses me off because I have always been a patron of Mi Rancho’s. Not anymore. I’m going to make sure the word gets out about this.
Food was decent, service was really bad. There for an hour before food was ever brought…and they weren’t that busy. No apology given even after several points were made about the long wait. Not a good experience.
Bland, bland, bland. They don’t season the meat. There was not a speck of salt on anything we ate, bland flavorless fajitas and carne asada. I told the server to let the chef know he has to put salt on the meat before he cooks it, he just stared at me. I would have done it myself, but I didn’t have a salt shaker on my table…. Also, it was VERY loud inside, I couldn’t hear myself think. Go to Azteca Maya in Grovetown, they are way better.
I love the new location. The patio dining area is very pretty and seems well shaded. I wish the host had offered to seat us outside.
Shrimp didn’t taste fresh; guacamole tasted like it was made from a package. Nice waiters who were attentive though.
