Awful service and nasty staff!!!!!!. My husband and I were really excited about eating fish!! Yum.. We went to rosehill so hungry.. We got their and waited about 15 minutes to be sat. No problem because we knew they were pretty steady that night. We got sat. The waitress came over to say the girls were fighting for customers and bad mouthing her coworkers.. As a manager myself I thought it was a bit distasteful but proceeded to give her our order and drinks. My husband ordered a tea I got water. He ordered snapper as entree mine was catfish fillet and added a garden salad. Waitress went in a timely manner and returned with drinks and salad. This is when things began to change. A party of 18 was being sat and all the waitress’s that were not on the party bagan to clutter up the front. Talking to each other pointing to the party as the waitress got the drink order. After our waitress did that with her co workers she went to get her personal drink and it would have been nice if she had washed her hands after. She did not. Then she wiped her mouth with her fingers. Again not washing hands after.(you can see all thru the kitchen and we kept an eye) she also proceeded to eat with no hand washing. We were beginning to think we just had a bad waitress, then we saw her coworker another waitress roll a bus cart over clean the table then immediately after she went and got to menus and two sets of silverware and waited on them without washing her hands. That’s it! We went to the register to get our ticket. The waitress handed the cashier a ticket worth 30.00 and all we had was a tea and salad so far. They had to call the manager to correct …..only after I explained we hadn’t recieved our food yet the manager came up ….(I’m hoping she will fix the problem)and asked what happened I told her. She shot a dirty look at our waitress and rang us up for salad and tea..$5.44. The cashier finished ringing us out and said she shouldn’t have charged you! The most awful expierience … The manager is to blame. You must train your staff correctly. Also treat complaints as a learning tool..Will not return!!!!
Will Doucet. Its a shame you cannot order an extra catfish filet to be added to the regular dinner. It makes no sense at all not to be able to have as many catfish filets as your heart desires. I love the catfish filet dinner and could happily eat one or two extra filets. I find it hard to believe management does not know how to cost out the price for extra filets! The oysters are delicious. The fried shrimp are cheap old breaded piecemeal shrimp not real shrimp like they have for sale in the seafood store.I like being able to get extra tartar sauce, red sauce and onions. Yum, a bite of fish and a bite of onion!
I love the catfish and oysters! Go in and ask for Jami she is the best server there. Very fast and nice.
Consumer. My family and I went to RoseHill for lunch today. My husband and I had the fried catfish. It was delicious! The fish was hot, crispy and right on time. If ever back in Columbus, we will be back. My daugher enjoyed the kids chicken fingers.
Great food. I enjoyed Rose Hill Seafood. These folks have been doing southern style seafood for a long time. I had the platter and was pleased with all the food on it. One of the things many places just don’t get right are hushpuppies. They were spot on here, flavorful, crispy outside, soft inside, with a bit of seasoning to add some punch to the cornmeal. If you enjoy southern dining you are apt to enjoy this restaurant.
Just fuh get about it!. Missed a deadline on a DealSaver…approached the cashier to see if it was at least worth what I paid for it…was attacked by 2 redneck bitties…IT’S EXPIRED! CAW CAW…like a bunch of nasty crows…they were horrible and treated me terribly…I was only asking if my coupon was worth anything and was attacked. I think a bit (very small bit) of sanity set in as they said they would get the manager. Too late. Shouldn’t have shown what rednecks you were. I was outta there, never to return. In fact, Rose Hill ever comes up in a conversation, I will tell anybody and everybody what a lousy restaurant this is. Learn customer service people. It was a cheap stinkin’ coupon…should have been worthless to the restaurant…but, I am sure I will turn away hundreds of dollars of business.
Comfortable. My first visit, nice atmosphere. Lawyers on my right and landscapers to my left.Waitress brought out all the needed accessories to go with the meal, did not have to ask for anything. Hushpuppies were right on along with the fish, oysters, shrimp, and scallops. Overall, my kind of joint.
