Excellent food. The grilled scalloped and fried shrimp are some of the best I have ever had!Every item is freshly prepared and the staff are friendly and helpful. The zucchini can turn a zucchini hater to a zucchini lover.I would recommend everything I have tried except their hush puppies- order their biscuits instead.
Slow service.country boil good. other courses almost burnt. tried 3 times 1st real good. last 2 times not so good
Simple and Delicious!. No frills place, but very comfortable and friendly. Had the Shrimp and Grits with Rattatouille and grilled Zuchinni. Best Shrimp and Grits I have had! Creamy grits, perfectly cooked shrimp and YUMMY sausage gravy ove rth top of it all! ( i had to ask for a little more gravy it was so good 🙂 I had the same dish at Copeland’s on the north side of town (its not even on their menu anymore) and their’s tasted like wall paper paste! I will definately be back! Save me a seat ya’ll!
Clean. Well lit. Many customers seem to be repeat visitors, which should tell you a lot. Food was tasty and portions a good size. I am a fan of hush puppies and theirs are better than most. Definitely recommend them if you are in the Covington area.
Great Seafood. I had read a write up in a local paper about Freeman’s, but tonight was the first time we have eaten there. My husband and I walked in at 8:45 and they close at 9:00, but it was such an enjoyable experience. I asked the waitress if we were to late, but she assures us to come on in. The staff was so friendly and courteous. My husband is from south Georgia, and he is use to good Florida seafood. Our dinner was delicious. The price was right in line with other seafood places. We will definetely return!!
I are at freemans and couldnt believe the waitress had to identufy what piece of fish on my plate was salmon. Completlly over cooked and not a quality cut … i had better salmon at longhorn around the corner
This place knows how to cook seafood properly grilled or fried ….it was awesome!!! Side dishes were really good too.
