Bad experience. This was our first visit to 850 Pizza. It will probably be our last. The service was extremely poor, and the other guests around us were experiencing the same. Our server was forgetting what we ordered and having to come to get the order again. She did not check back with us until we flagged her down. Everything we ordered took forever. At one time, we had ordered wine and the bartender was drying wine glasses, but our wine had not been poured. The server was constantly apologizing for the service. The pizza, although cooked in a very hot brick oven, was not crispy. Only the outside crust was crispy. The middle was soggy. The restaurant was not that busy for us to have this experience.

Interesting, tasty pizza — wait staff needs training. This is our second try at 850. The first was an excellent experience, with interesting, tasty dishes and a server who was attentive, helpful, and engaging. The thin-crust pizza is cooked at a very high temperature, which gives it a different flavor that’s tasty but not as filling as the usual. This time, the food was just as good, delivered quickly and just right. My son also had a pizza and loved it. My wife had the mozzarella, tomato, basil, and chicken salad, and was equally pleased. The wine menu is very good for a place this size, the beer menu is good. I tried the apple martini and found it well made and tasty. The food probably isn’t a good choice if your kids are under 10 or so, but above that everyone should find something they like. The problem this time was with the wait staff. Lots of servers standing around chatting with each other and only occasionally checking with the customers. Lots of wandering among the tables. If there was a floor manager who should have been overseeing this, I didn’t see him. As a consequence, we waited about ten minutes for drinks to arrive and had intermittent gaps in service throughout the meal. There was one exception: A young lady named Alex–not our server, unfortunately; I asked her name on the way out–was right at each table to make sure her guests were properly taken care of, but not obtrusive. And, no I don’t know Alex. I simply watched the wait staff and she stood out.Do I recommend the restaurant? Yes. I hope they tighten up the service quality, though.

Simply horrible place. I went there with friends and we waited 45 minutes for pizza. When it came, it was so chewy and tasteless. Cheese was the worse. Surely nowadays atlanta area has much much better real italian pizzeria. Also too expensive compared to food quality. I won’t come back.

YUMMM!!!! WOW!!!. I went with my neighbor who is from Rome, Italy and she can NOT stop talking about this authentic pizza. I was impressed too! I have no idea why there are some iffy reviews. It is a very cute place, great outdoor area, pizza is not the ordinary NY pizza. It is ITALIAN pizza! Brick oven- delicious! If you want a quick bite that isn’t authentic and don’t care to enjoy the experience, then go to papa john’s. We are going back tonight to try other pizzas although I am nervous because my cacciatore and Calabrese were so good not sure I wanna mess with greatness but I am sure all the others are just as good!

It was ok. I had the DOC pizza which is supposed to have buffalo mozzarella but it didn’t look any different than my daughter’s with regular mozzarella. Sauce was delicious — crust could use a little salt. Live music was nice but acoustics were bad so everyone was screaming & no-one could hear anyone else.

This place is horrible…. small mixed drink glasses filled with ice equals 3 sips and gone. Also a terrible pour on wine for how expensive it is by glass. Pizza not good…. go to Campania or even The Union if want real brick oven pizza. Not going back!!!!

Service is spotty. With a small handful of people at bar I thought it would be perfect got quick meal. 2 bartenders one stacked glasses and then went over to talk chatted someone up. Other bar keep oblivious. Get some better bartenders. Great food if you can get service. Sad part of this mis adventure – I sent my wife 2 kids, sister and dad in for dinner earlier .
