Good sushi but bad hibachi. I absolutely love their sushi. Great prices, craftmanship, and freshness. But as for the hibachi…… i have tried it three times and havent had a good experience yet…..for example… took my mother for mothers day and the chef had no clue what he was doing. Tries the onion volcano and has to asked us for a lighter and by the time he got one it wouldn’t ignite so he puts a lot more juice to it and then nearly singes our faces when it finally did ignite, and his food was not very good…… The other two times the chefs just had no personality and were done in a matter of minutes, might as well have went to toyo and paid half the price. So my suggestion is…. If u r looking for good sushi then Fuji is the way to go, but if hibachi is ur thing then there r a few other better choices here in Dalton as well as Chattanooga.

Dislike. I have been to this restaurant twice because friends of ours recommended it. The first time was on Valentine’s Day and the cook didn’t do anything fun or interact with us at all. Our entire dinner was cooked in 10 minutes and we had already started eating before we received our sushi. The waiter was really bad and forgot another couple at our tables sushi order. The worst thing was the other couple at our table had a young child (4-5) who had asthma. When the cook started to clean the table before he started a think cloud of black smoke went right in their faces. The mother had to take him away from the table so he didn’t have an asthma attack. When we asked to speak to a manager a lady came over and apologized but didn’t offer any compensation or a chance to come back and try the place again. We decided a few months later to try it again because our friends liked it so much. Just about the same thing happened. The cook was horrible but the service was much better. The server we had was very nice and helpful. This time we mentioned before we sat down how the experience was the prior time and we still got the same type of cook. The whole reason we go to these type places is for the experience and the interaction with the chefs. I have been to several others where they interact with the entire table and make sure that everyone has a good time. We will not be back to Fuji.
Horrible To-Go service. We eat here all of the time and by the time the main course is made, we’re too full to even move. Ordering to-go is the exact same price, but they give you half the food. If you’re going to be cheap about it, make the price the amount that I’m given and not full price.
Sushi size and quantity small on all accounts.. Spicy tuna roll almost void of tuna. Quality lacking – you should be careful what you order and don’t expect much.
