Great. Best hamburger steak in north georgia. I have ate at restaurants from Chattanooga to Cartersville and John’s has the best hamburger steak around. I have to go there at least once a week.
We ate here today for the time and it was good.I got the rib plate with onion rings and potatoe salad it was all really good.My husband got the rib plate with tater tots and cole slaw he liked it all to.The staff was really nice also.we’ll be back.
A local classic. Always a good choice for this area, but I do have one minor quibble. The young lady working the counter needs to pay a little more attention and learn the difference between Cheese Sticks and Onion Rings for carryout orders. That aside, very good BBQ and consistently so.
There slaw is so good I can drink it as my meal. There BBQ is amazing and the people are friendly. I love it there!
Hamburger Steak… two thumbs up…. Wife picked me up a hamburger steak plate… and man,,, I was blown away… it was incredible… with lots of grilled onions… it tasted like real ground steak too… very impressed. this family knows how to run a restaurant. Nice people and a true landmark in Dalton. keep up the good work.
Always Good. Not only is the food at John’s good – the staff is always friendly & helpful. A great hometown establishment our family loves to visit. The hot slaw is my FAVORITE of any place around. It’s worth a trip just for the slaw!
Always good. I think the last person was confused with another bbq place on Murray!! We eat here several times per week every week and it is never bad. David has a passion for good food and it shows. Its not identical to all other bbg in the world which makes for a reason to visit. Im sitting in here now and realize that the reason they had to put up fans is because they are so busy the doors stay open almost as much as they are shut. This place would not be this crazy busy every day if it were not worthy!
