Yummy, yummy, yummy. This place is hidden away in a little strip mall area. However, the food is great. I love the freshly made to order pupusas!!! I have been here a number of times and I always get the pupusas which come in a variety of flavors. They have great refried beans, rice, and plantains. Whenever, I come to Dalton I always come here. They are family run homey dining establishment and usually always have christian music playing in the background. Just writing this makes me hungry! lol

This was my first foray into Salvadoran cuisine. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, and our server was attentive and fluent in English. Menu items have accompanying photographs and English translations. This gringo has been intimidated by previous visits to taquerias but my interaction with the menu and staff were easy and comfortable.I had three kinds of pupusas, fried plantains, and a taco, all of which seemed fresh and were tasty. The three pupusas and the taco would have made a sensible meal by themselves though a meal of pupusas only may have been a been too much masa for me. I saw no alcoholic beverages listed. Shame as I think those pupusas would have paired very nicely with a beer. I live 25 miles away and won’t make the trip often. But locals who wish to try something beyond the usual TexMex should consider paying this place a visit.
Open !!!. Well, something made me decide to go back by this place today. As it turns out, it is still open. However, the drink case IS still empty. Since I came by on a Monday and that is the day they are closed AND the drink case was empty AND the phone number was non-responsive I thought the place was closed. It was clean and neat inside the restaurant. The service was efficient and informative too. Everything that we tried was good. The flavors are tame compared to Mexican food, but I found that to be a nice break, even though I still prefer Mexican food. The plantains might have been the favorite dish. The pupusas are very nice, with just enough meat and cheese fillings inside. We tried chicken, pork and spinach. I also had a steak taco. The meal is served with a cabbage dish and salsa which sort of reminded me of kimchee at Korean restaurants, although it had nowhere close to the spice or heat of kimchee. It was a nice complement to our meal.27 Sep, 2011Closed…. Unfortunately, this is another Salvadoran restaurant in the Dalton area that has closed before I got to try it. Oh well, I was really looking forward to sampling the food here. The drink case was completely empty when I stopped by today and the phone number is disconnected.
