Delicious, delicious food. I visited Calcutta Palate during the dinner service and was wildly impressed — the chef offered a sample of appetizers that included delightfully crispy vegetable pakora and samosas accompanied by a refreshing mint chutney and tamarind sauce. For our entrees, we ordered the classic Chicken 65 as well as Lamb Dhansak (lamb and lentils). The Chicken was cooked to perfection: tender and flavorful. The lamb was probably some of the best lamb that I’ve ever eaten and the lentils were out of this world. Of course, we ate our bodies’ weight in tasty naan. The service was fantastic, we were seated quickly and the server offered great menu suggestions! Also, did I mention the mango lassi? It was to die for — perfectly sweet and creamy without being at all heavy. I will definitely be back!

Best Sag Paneer (and the Tandoori is pretty good as well). The Calcutta Palate just opened in Doraville and it is quite the gem. I had the tandoori chicken, sag paneer and garlic naan. Simply put, the best, yes, best, sag paneer I have ever eaten. The tandoori was excellent as well. The staff (I suspect owners) were very friendly and the service couldn’t be beat. The restaurant is large, clean and well appointed. They also do a buffet, but it is lunch only. All in all, a wonderful dining experience in an area inundated with so-so Korean and pedestrian Mexican cuisine, a welcome change of pace that I hope to repeat soon.

Eric. I really enjoyed the food here. However the place was kind of hard to find. The food was some of the best Indian food I’ve tried and the prices were reasonable too. Definately adding to list of favorites! The staff is nice and the chef even came out to check on our food. Will check out again when in town .
