Welcome Addition to BuHi. I decided to try this new Vietnamese place located about a mile north of I-285 on Buford Highway. The restaurant was very clean and brightly lit. The older man behind the counter was extremely friendly and very personable. They also have recycling containers prominently displayed for bottles and cans, which I like.As for the food, I went with the Bnh M X Xu (BBQ pork) with a side of Ch Gi (pork and chicken spring rolls). The bnh m was delicious and full of flavor. The jalapeos were thinly sliced and weren’t overpowering and the meat was nice and moist. There was even a hint of sweetness on the sandwich, which I actually enjoyed. The only drawback of the sandwich were the slightly smaller size than I’m used to, and that there could have been more meat on it. The spring rolls were also packed with flavor and had nice, crispy shells on them. These were not short on meat filling however, and included carrots and something that looked like black beans with the ground pork and chicken.Overall, I really liked Viet-Nomie’s: from the place itself, to the staff, and the food. However, I can see people being disappointed with the bnh m since it’s a tad smaller than typical BuHi bnh ms and at a slightly higher price, but I personally thought the flavor definitely made up for it. I look forward to trying the Ph, as well as seeing the food truck out and about, whenever that may be.
Viet-Nomies is So Awesome!!. This restaurant is so awesome. The food is amazing and Nomie is a treasure. She cooks with love and it shows in her food. I have now had enough dishes there to claim to be an expert and ALL of her food is fabulous.
