Always bad. I used to love Macaroni Grill, but this location single handedly ruined it for me. Its run by very young high school/college age kids, who will go on to be productive members of society – but shouldn’t be running a restaurant. Save your $$ and go to Ted’s, Always consistent.
Impressed!! I was ready to count this place out after I waited 18min to be waited on. Much to my surprise, the service here is impeccable. Adam is by far the most impressive server I have ever had the pleasure to be paired with. The food is great as usual but the service was above and beyond.
Let me start by saying I have never taken the time to write up a restaurant from a bad perspective. That said, this is the worst restaurant on the planet. Had bad service two months ago, but gave it a try again for a family dinner. Had to ask for bread from a separate server, drinks were late, salad never came, kids pizza had an entire bag of flour on it and my chicken fettucini had little to no chicken. Complained to the manager and she couldn’t wait to move on to other things….the manager did comp the meal but after waiting around too long to pay for our drinks, we finally just left seeing the manager heading for her car at 7:30 on a Saturday. Don’t waste your time money….if a decent Italian place moved in on Dallas highway, they would move this place out of town…..by the way, it was sooooo bad, I have taken the time to write this using my iphone…
Very Disappointed West Cobb location. I have never taken the time to review anything much less a restaurant. After the dinner and service we had last night I had to make an exception. My wife and I had lunch at the one down the street from us at the Avenues at West Cobb about 2 years ago. We decided then that we would never eat there again. We were in a pinch last night and decided to give it another shot because her mother was in town. Big mistake! I am pretty sure we had a busboy taking care of us. He was as nice as he could be, but he had no idea what he was doing. I don’t think this was his fault. Bread and bottle of olive oil just placed on table (no oregano or crushed black pepper), wine poured in the same glass as the water (no wine glass), I had to get silverware from another empty table, and best of all…. the food was terrible. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it tasted like someone poured maple syrup over a piece of chicken with a side of Ramen noodles. My wife said her noodles tasted like moth balls and kids said their food was great. They aldo said it tasted just like Chef Boyardee. All in all I will never go back there again and I am pretty sure they will not be there much longer with food and service like that. Course I said that 2 years ago and they are still there. Guess the lease must be pretty high and they are waiting it out before closing the doors.
Incredibly POOR Service. Visited the Marietta location at the Avenues West on 3/16 with a 7:30 p.m. reservation. There were empty tables available yet we waited for 10 minutes to finally be seated at one of those empty tables. Groups that had been seated both before and after us had a server at their table in just a few minutes and were served drinks, bread, and appitizers in short order. After being seated at our table for more than 15 minutes the hostess came over to take our drink order and to say that the server will be right over. The drinks that arrived were wrong. After being in the restarurant for 30 minutes spoke to the manager about the lack of service and that every table around us had been served, the best she could do was to say that she would have her best server work our table. By that time I figured my money would be better spent at a restaraunt that actually cared about their customers and chose to leave. I am not a demanding person and in 50 years of dining out, this is only the second time I have walked out of a restaraunt. I will not go back to this or any other Macaroni Grill.
No Excuse. We have eaten at Macaroni Grills in many places. It is a safe standard we can go to when we are traveling and we have always loved it. We dreamed of a day when there would be one close to where we live. That is finally true but the restaurant is HORRIBLE!!!We have never been to a bad Macaroni Grill but we have been to the one in Marietta 4 times in the last year (thinking that it can’t possibly be so bad). One time was OK and the rest have been stunningly awful. For one thing…have you ever been to a Macaroni Grill that wasn’t packed. This one is usually dead. The service is bad, dishes that I always order at other MG’s are horrible. The food has been cold twice. There is nobody there and it takes forever to get food.I almost never review review restaurants but this has to stop! We have given them 4 shots and this is it.Oh, by the way, my food was bad again tonight and they took it off the check. They did the right thing, but this is not what Macaroni Grill is all about. Sombody needs to get in there and fix what is wrong or close it down so new customers don’t think this it what it is.
Ate there tonight. Menu and recipes are different, and increasingly displeasing, every time I go back. This is the last time in giving this place another shot. Horrible food, pathetic kids’ meal portions, and abhorrent service. Felt like our coming there tonight was a horrible bother for the staff. Won’t ever be bothering them again. Don’t waste your money.
