Wow, Just Wow!We were in Duluth to go to an event at the Infinite Energy Arena. We read something about Armandos Caribe and decided to give it a try. Wow, were we impressed.The restaurant isnt in the greatest setting in a boring shopping center, but inside is quite pleasantly decorated. I got the Thursday drink special of a Sangria. It was really good. Too often sangria tastes like fruit juice. This one still had a strong wine flavor that was complemented by the fruit. Some chips and salsa were also immediately brought to the table. The chips tasted homemade and the salsa was so good that we polished off three bowls.We got a bowl of the chicken soup which was large and really good with lots of surprisingly tender chicken pieces. It took a while to get, but thats probably because they have the broth made in advance and then add the chicken and some of the greenery just before serving. Otherwise the chicken wouldnt be so tender.For mains we got the grilled chicken which was also great and, again, very tender. It came with some very nice yellow rice and some great black beans. I really dont like black beans but I ate every bit of this. We also got some lobster tacos. They too were delicious.We finished with one of the best flans Ive hadand weve eaten a lot of it. The coffee was also nice. And all for a reasonable price.My only complaint is that the service could be a lot better. The servers are all very pleasant, but they just need to tighten up their organization. We understand that good food takes time, but the restaurant wasnt that busy when we were there. Anyway, if youre not in a hurry, you can get a great meal at Armandos Caribe.
My favorite secret!. I love this place and take all my friends there! They have opened a fabulous new bar with an AWESOME Tapas menu! It is a must try!
Hidden gem!. First time trying this spot yesterday with my boyfriend and the service was exceptional! We got the empanadas Cubanas, maduros, arroz con pollo, and chicken fajitas and they were all soooo good! The food was definitely worth the price and the plates are generously portioned. The atmosphere was also welcoming and fun. We sat on the patio before the sun set and the view was gorgeous. We would definitely make the hour drive to eat Armando’s again when we crave it. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone !
It’s been discovered. Never had a bad meal at Armandos! Been MANY MANY times. Our favorite local place. We typically go a little early so we don’t wait in a line, which has become the norm on Friday and Saturday nights, with good reason. Everything is good! Have a Mojito too, they won’t do you wrong..
FAVE FAVE FAVE!!!. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! You can not go wrong with anything you order here!!! One of my absolute favorite things on the men artichoke dip! Their spin on the artichoke dip is very different! Pimentos, olive oil, lemon juice, artichoke, olives……………..DELICIOUS!!! All of their cuban sandwich variations are awesome!! My fave is the potato crusted calimari tacos!!! Anything on this menu will be amazing!
