Service was fast and the server was friendly. Food was good, but seemed overpriced. The Galbi is better than the Bulgogi. Sides were fairly average, but plentiful. I liked it, but I would go somewhere else before coming back here.
When we have guests, we take them here because it has great food and interior looks great. I think it offers an authentic Korean food experience where you get to grill your own food. It is a bit over priced but we always leave with full bellies and a good experience.
Overpriced and Average. I recently dined at Chung Dam for a family member visiting from abroad and had an okay experience here. For the five members in our party, we ordered the Royal Course Set B, which is $39.99/person. It came with various dishes (refer to pictures) with the most memorable being the butternut squash galbi jjim and hard broiled butterfish as my two favorites. The sushi here was below par, as was the sashimi in the sashimi salad. I was quite disappointed with the quality, seeing how pricey their set cost per person. Service was just okay, but that’s as expected at Korean restaurants, but the interior is nice and clean. I won’t be returning to dine on my own, but if it’s for a family celebration or an occasion where I’m not paying the bill, then I’ll be back because I love free food. Other than that, they really need to get fresher seafood, because they’ve got the Korean dishes down to a T. bellavivere.blogspot.com
BEST PLACE EVER. When my friends and I are craving Korean food, this is our go-to place. Although we live quite far from it, we don’t hesitate once about coming here because it’s just perfect all around. The service is absolutely amazing and the food is tasty. I love this place and guarantee you will have an amazing time here!
Teriyaki meal was flavorless, and gross. $20 bucks for something I could have paid $5 for. Don’t recommend at all.
Love it. Chung Dam has great atmosphere, cozy rooms for small parties and great sushi.
Pretty Authentic. My husband (american) and I (half-korean) eat Korean food ALL the time. I cook it frequently at home and we have visited the country. It has ALWAYS been hard to find a decent, authentic restaurant, but we tried this out one weekend and my husband LOVED the samgyumpsal (korean bacon) and it tasted just like you get it in Korea. I got the dolsobibimbap and it was good. We will be trying it out again this week. Sidedishes were good as well as the customer service. Haven’t tried anything else YET, but Korean BBQ is hard to find that is GREAT and so far they hit it on the head.
