Very underwhelmed. My wife and I went during prime lunch hour – 12:30PM – and there was not a single person in the place. The single cook/server was Hispanic, not Indian. There was no music, no TV, no conversation in the place. We could literally hear the clock ticking on the wall. Decor was terrible – stained ceiling tiles, bare lightbulbs, and an ‘out of order’ sign on the bathroom. Samosas choat were microwaved and cold (you could see and hear the microwave being used). Butter chicken and chicken vindaloo were just barely acceptable. We won’t be back…and the whole reason we went 30 minutes out of our way was because of the reviews here. I don’t know what has changed, but honestly I’ve had far better Indian food from 7 dollar buffets. Don’t waste your time.
Absolutely amazing!!. This small, intimate place is my new favorite Indian restaraunt! I discovered a few new dishes that I love and had some I’ve tried before at other places. The mutton is superb along with everything else we tasted. We were very happy with the price, the service and the setting. Highly reccomended!! Yum!
Perfection!. The food is beyond perfection! My family loves this restaurant! Everything we have tried was cooked beautifully with true passion and skill. This is a true family owned and operated business and worthy of your patronage! I <3 Lajawaab!!!!!
Like eating at home. My work place is pretty close to this place and I frequently visit this small eat out joint. Well I eat out daily and rarely cook at home, so it also means I have pretty much been to most of the nearby indian restaurants but this is the one I visit the most. For the simple reason, the food here is the closest to home cooked food. Which again is the reason why I can eat there so frequently and not get bored of it. Each curry has its own specific authentic taste unlike most of the places where everything basically tastes the same. OK this may not be the fanciest place to go on a date, but somebody eating out daily, doesn’t need an elaborate 425 items buffet in a grandeur setting. All one needs is few well prepared items and that’s exactly what I get here. Also visiting this place saves me couple of bucks each time.So thanks to the people running the show.
Great Experience!!. We have had them cater an event for around 100 guests with on-site service. I have not had such a great experience both from a host and guest’s point of view in a long time. The food was great and service was amazing. They also happen to be right across the road from where we live, so we have gotten to go orders a few times. No complaints at all!!
GREAT FOOD. Their food is simply delicious. If you request them to make it low fat and less spicy, they will do so. They do catering as well as dine in. The new owners are great! Their customer service is excellent.
Food is great with generous portions and friendly service. Clean and simple, 7 years in service!
