I have been in so many ice-cream and yogurt stores; SunO dessert is a real surprise. Young and old people flow in here as if they have been here millions of times. The server already knows what their customers want the moment the walk-in happens. The menu is so simple. The dessert is delicious. Their bubble tea is so top-notch; nothing in the area comes close. They are working on a smoothie line which I have sampled. The papaya smoothie is made of fresh fruit and it is so refreshing.
Favorite dessert shop in Duluth!. SunO has and will always be one of my favorite dessert shops in Duluth! Specializing in Asian-style shaved ice (using a mix of dairy ingredients as a base rather than ice), it’s absolutely delicious and you won’t feel guilty after eating it. SunO, a play on the word Snow, literally tastes like snow when it hits your tongue and melts in your mouth and is absolutely delicious! It’s most definitely the real deal and as good as it is in Asia, I promise! Although my wallet is quite sad that the prices have jumped since they first opened over 6 years ago, I still come back here a few times every month and make sure to get my fill of their signature SunO (which is now offered in a variety of flavors-green tea, chocolate, strawberry, mango, thai tea, soymilk and more), bubble teas, crepes and more! Not bad. It’s alright. I wanted to check this place out because my niece raved about it. It’s basically a flavored milk shaved ice with toppings. Think Red Mango but instead of yogurt, they use shaved ice. Next time I come, I will definitely try to make my own with mango, mochi, red bean.
I’m a complete addict, and now my friends are too!. I’ve been a fan since shortly after this Suno first opened. I love the food–the original vanilla shaved ice milk is sweet yet light, and never fails to make me happy. It’s the perfect platform for the toppings, whether you’re going for fruits, chocolate, or the more unusual Asian ingredients (which my husband likes).Whatever you get, I recommend including the milk syrup. The green tea ice cream is also great, and is perfect on the fruit varieties. If you want recommendations, my faves are Ko Ko or the Volcano. For fruit, you can’t go wrong with strawberry or mango.
I love Sunos! but one thing I dislike is customer service. last time I went the girl that took my order was rude and didn’t acknowledge. but overall what they have is great!
