Rude Staff, Missing Food with Takeout. I called Udipi to order a Masala Dosai to go. The man on the phone was very rude. He was just as rude when I went in to pickup my order. He was so lazy he made me go get my food off the counter intead of getting up and handing it to me.When I got home, I realized they did not put the potato filling in my bag. The major ingrediant in a Masala Dosai is the potato filling! I will never be back.
They charge automatic 15% gratutiy but the Service was so poor that we had to ask For plates to be served. They didnt come.back to refill water and.drinks. Their appetizers were soggy instead of crispy. 1 or 2 dinner entrees were ok. Overall overpriced For the quality of Service and Food. Wont go there again..
Very disappointed…. When we originally purchased the Groupon for Udipi, there was no mentioned of restrictions on use of the Groupon (ie, lunch buffets). The Decatur restaurant had such a restriction, which was not disclosed at the time of purchase. This is really poor customer service. Being new to Atlanta, we have been using Groupon as a means to discover new restaurants in the area. So, I just called Udipi in Duluth because the cafe in Decatur is closed and I need to use this Groupon. I simply wanted to ask if I could use my Groupon ‘to-go’, although paying a tip, and just not eat it there. The reason is that Duluth (the nearest to me) is quite a long distance and I would not have purchased the Groupon had I known that I would need to drive to Duluth or Smyrna to eat.The person that I spoke with did not help at all and I am quite disappointed. Udipi has lost another customer due to poor customer service. I am guessing that they need customers to keep their other two locations surviving.Thus, this Groupon is useless.
Bad food at Udipi Cafe. Dirty place and bad food quality. Please do not waste your money by going there. Horrible service. The waiters never hear you calling. They just walk by ignoring you. Please visit other Indian restaurants near by. I will not recommend this one to anyone because I don’t want them to spoil their tummy.
I went with a friend for lunch. The food was incredible! The service was fast and friendly. I will most definitely be back at least once per month.
Wow- I was impressed. I bought the groupon on a whim and finally made it out…. A huge fan of the regular chicken tikka masala and chicken makhni and lamb briyani I was a bit apprehensive about trying a vegetarian restaurant but MAN. The malai kofta, veggie masala and veggie samosas were fabulous. I’ve been trying lots of Indian restaurants around Atlanta looking for a good one and have been disappointed every time but this was great. Not a huge fan of the spring dosa but my boyfriend liked it. Mmm mmm mmm wr will be back, and for the 7.95 lunch buffet! Thrilled to have found this place thanks to groupon!
