California Pizza Kitchen, a west-coast themed restaurant, is definitely a go to for a quick bite. As you walk through the door, it is impossible to not notice the giant, stone oven blazing in the back of the room. Charming servers create colloquial conversation and crack jokes as they lead you and your party to a table. These servers help set the tone for an incredible evening and lighten your mood; however, sadly there is a downside to this delicious restaurant. Some people cannot stand the time it takes between when you are seated, and when your food arrives. If you are having trouble deciding what to eat from California Pizza Kitchens wide variety of pizzas, the barbecue chicken is always a safe choice; not only is this pizza my favorite but a restaurant best seller. I can promise that either a soup, salad, or pizza will feed your hunger. These three phenomenal choices will be layered with fresh, seasonally inspired ingredients. Their precisely cooked and hand-tossed artisan pizzas will be delicious and flavor-packed each and every time. Their pizza practically screams, eat me! California Pizza Kitchen offers hand-shaken cocktails, premium wine and craft beers for the adults while also offering a variety of scrumptious, non-alcoholic drinks for those under 21. I usually order the traditional cheese pizza, which is hand tossed dough topped with a festival of mozzarella cheese, and a side of classic caesar salad. What I really enjoy about California Pizza Kitchen is that the laid-back environment is very inviting and homelike. This partially comes from the mood lighting, the charismatic staff, and mouth-watering food. The waiters or waitresses can easily adapt to any age of a customer, which makes this chill restaurant the place to eat. The prices are overall very reasonable, especially for the amount of food in each dish. California Pizza Kitchen comes with great deals and rewards programs; it even offers an app which you can pay from. Another bonus that the restaurant provides is that the chef always manages to create a classic, unique meal worth sharing on Instagram that will get many likes! In conclusion, California Pizza Kitchen is an astounding restaurant with great service and food that tastes like a slice of heaven.

This is the place to go for thin crust. Definitely need an appetizer though, as the pizzas are on the small side. Ask to join their club and you get a free appetizer on your visit!

No Gluten Free Pizza. I was looking forward to one of CPK’s signature pizzas done gluten free. Sat down with my family, got our drinks, began our order only to find out…NO more gluten free pizza at this time. I wish they had told me this when I asked for the gluten free menu (which they no longer have since they identify GF on the regular menu). I was really disappointed because I dreamed of a pizza all day long. I ended up ordering the Bang Bang shrimp which was very good but it certainly wasn’t a pizza. Very, very disappointing!

Overpriced and underdone. I don’t see how a small pizza can cost so much. i remember getting a large pizza in the suburbs of NY for $10. the quality doesn’t add up here at this chain to the prices. i like the idea of the restaurant but if they used fresher, local ingredients it might appeal more. who would ever go to CA for pizza? exactly. hoity toity pizza that leaves me hungry every time i go.

Great pizza as always– we ordered 4 different kinds plus some ravioli & dumplings– all were yummy!
