Holy sweet salami, is this a real Italian deli? For really reals? In Dunwoody? Why? This is a joke, right? No. It’s not a joke. This is a serious, heart-attack serious, Italian deli and I have not seen one like this since I moved from New Jersey.Cured meats hanging from the ceiling, fresh baked breads, old cheese, new cheese, house-made sausages for your face-hole.Sweet. Jesus. What’s good? Every-goddamned-thing.What’s Bad? Not buying several pounds of mortadella, taking it home and rolling around in it. Pants optional.

Best bread I ever had. For 4 years I worked in sales for North America’s largest bakery. For training I had to sample all 568 of our bread offerings and all of our competitors offerings as well. I worked 60 hours a week doing nothing but moving bread. So, when I say that E 48th Street Market had the best bread I have ever tasted in my life, I hope that means something to anyone reading this. It was perfect even down to the tiniest of details. I had a sandwich, the meat and everything inside was ok but the bread made it a great sandwich. They have some high quality products here. .

Treasure in Dunwoody. The real deal Italian Deli without the trip to NY. Reasonable prices and great food made on premises. I eat there once a week without fail. Don’t worry about the Ne York attitude – it is all done in fun. When I have a friend visit (former Chicagoan) this is a must stop on his trip.Check out the home made sauce in the back freezer – you to can be a cook!

Trust me. Get the #15 sandwich. Add roasted peppers and extra olive oil. To go. Let it sit at room temperature for an hour. SNARF! One of my favorite sandwich shops in all of Metro ATL. Love the Nu Yawk attitude as well.

Great Italian Market. We love E 48th St. Market! My husband is Italian and we moved from South Florida a year ago where Italian markets are more prevalent than in Atlanta. When we moved to Atlanta, we were hard pressed to find a market where we could buy Cavatelli. My husband found E 48th St. online, and although we live in the Crabapple area, we make the trip over to E. 48th St. to pick up pasta as well as fresh meats for antipasto. We love the quaint atmosphere and being able to stop in for a glass of wine and sit at one of the tables with the beautiful Italian ceramic tops. It’s worth the ride!
