The pork and brisket were average+, the wings were good and the chicken tenders were very good. All of the sides are really pretty good, as is the service (generally). My only big complaint is that the restaurant charges you for the spicy-hot barbecue sauce, which they keep somewhere in the back. To be clear, we have a barbecue restaurant that CHARGES for hot barbecue sauce! Isn’t that a little like a Mexican restaurant that charges for salsa? For that reason alone, I stopped eating at Memphis. I don’t have many principles, but a bbq joint that charges for bbq sauce must surely violate one of mine.

Hate it waited 10 minutes and no one spoke to us! Darn was in mood for bque! What happened to a great place? I miss Patrick as our server also right there with a smile.

Food is really good and fair prices! Waiter was so nice to us! Even the manager visited our table to check on us! All in all great service! The waiter got us a basket of pig rinds, and for a first timer i liked it! Its very southern! I love burgers, so im very picky with what i like! So we gave the original juke burger a try and it was juicy and on point! It comes with fries which were really good! Loved it! One of the best burgers in atlanta for me! Second we tried the brisket sandwich, the taste of meat is very dominant and it was a bit dry. The mac n cheese was a good side!Over all experience was really good! I’d recommend this place! You should try their specials!

PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!!!! The Servers are Thief’s & Frauds!!!! My Server took it upon himself to add an extra unauthorized amount of $7.00!!!!!!!! to my check!!! on top of the tip I had already left!!!! And even once the matter was brought to the GM/Management they were very unapologetic!!! Which leads me to believe this is how they do business. I WILL NOT EAT at this RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN!!

Got the Peacemaker sandwich, Fantastic! Fries were hot, the pork rhinds were huge and crispy, the corn bread….ordered more to take home. Service was fast and friendly. This was my third visit and it was a great meal! Bed time..zzzzz.

When we arrived at Memphis BBQ Company, we had mixed feelings because there werent many cars in the parking lot, but by the time we left the place was packed! It was a late coming crowd, but enough of that LETS TALK BBQ!I originally found out about Memphis BBQ Company from Thrillist when looking at the Best Burger places for Atlanta. I had it set in my mind that I wanted to try this best burger but once I got there, my mind did a 180 to BBQ. I was ready, Freddy! Our server knocked us out of our seats right off the rip by pitching, not only how great their BBQ was, but why! He told us about their owner, Melissa Cookston, who is The Winningest Woman in BBQ. Not only is she a top pitmaster, restauranteur and author (click pic for her book on Amazon), she also won the 2014 Memphis in May Whole Hog World Champion, two-time overall world champion. Underachiever, right? Well, from that point on, I was absolutely SOLD on getting BBQ and as much of it as I could possibly eat.Our server asks do you like pork rinds? and Im thinking to myself a restaurant that serves pork rinds? Is he kidding me?. The answer is a resounding NO hes NOT kidding and brings a basket of pork rinds. Now, you Northerners may not know what a pork rind is and we Southerners try to forget, but a pork rind is fried pig skin. Sounds gross, right? Heck naw, its great! YOU HAVE TO TRY THE PORK RINDS! The basket of Pork Rinds that he brought had a king daddy pork rind in there and they were OH SO GOOD!We couldnt make up our mind what we were going to order, so we just chose the Pitmasters Sampler which comes with a half slab of ribs and two meats. We chose a half slab or classic ribs, pulled pork and a 1/4 chicken. It came with two sides, and we chose to get house salads. We also ordered some additional sides of fried okra, red beans and rice, and potato salad. It also comes with cornbread. Keep in mind that this dish is meant for one person.BBQ heaven soon arrived at our table when our Pitmasters Sampler showed up. This BBQ is so good you will slap your grandma! We cut the ribs in half and my normally vegetarian wife proceeded to tear into like the carnivore I knew she was! I had a couple of bites of pulled pork but that was the best I could do! The Fried Okra was a little salty for me, but it was still pretty good. The Red Beans and Rice was predictable and I thought would have been better over a dirty rice than plain white steam rice. The show stealer for sides was the Potato Salad. Devoid of any mustard base, it was OFF THE CHAIN. Speaking of off the chain, the Cornbread was phenomenal! It was sweet like cake and OH SO MOIST!Its hard to imagine any better BBQ than Memphis BBQ Company serves up. They have a large. Spacious restaurant and is perfect for large groups. Come to Dunwoody and youll love Memphis BBQ Company! Guten appetit! atlanta-food-critic.com

The brisket was amazingly tender. The service was over the top excellent. My husband & I are visiting from Seattle and wanted to try some authentic southern bbq close to our hotel. I cannot express enough how amazing the service was from the second we walked in the door until the moment we left… I almost didn’t want to leave! We’d definitely come back!!!
