Service & food awful. Not worth the trip.
Food okay service sucks!. The manager at the restaurant is extremely rude! She was a one man show, so I guess she was having a bad day! The food was okay, kind of pricey. I’m big on customer service, if you are pleasant then I leave huge tips even if the food was not enjoyable. But, if your attitude is unappealing for no apparent reason, you get squat! I paid my tab, and left all of my barely touched food on the table. Never again! I will stick with the King and I in Ansley Park or Nan Thai on 17TH ST.
Poor Customer Service – Rude Manager. After eating at Simply Thai for several years I began ordering from them a few times per month for lunch and having the order delivered to my place of business. On 2 occasions the wrong order was delivered. Each time the manager that took the phone order insisted that she made no mistake and that I would have to pay $2 more to have the correct order delivered. This manager’s English is not strong enough to handle phone orders and lacks the ability to admit her mistakes. Very arrogant and belligerent. It’s too bad because I really like the food there but customer service is what keeps businesses in business and this place’s service leaves much to be desired!
Not bad, but not great. I stopped in for lunch. The place is nice inside and the staff was friendly enough, but it was very cold. I don’t know if their heater is broken or what, but it was freezing in there.As for the food, I had the Panang Curry with chicken which also comes with a bowl of Coconut Soup. The coconut soup was pretty good; it had mushrooms and nice amount of spice to it. The Panang Curry was a fairly small portion. The flavors were good and it also had a nice amount of spice, but some of the rice was undercooked and the chicken was a little chewy.Overall, it’s not the greatest Thai I’ve had, but it is far from the worst. The food preparation is average, which is a shame because they really do have some nice flavors going on. It became fairly busy as I was leaving, so it does seem to be a popular lunch spot for the area.
Love the food, hate the beverage situation.. Love the drunken noodles, but this place needs fountain drinks in order to be taken seriously.
Worst Service Ever. The food is pretty decent. Service is horrible. We arrived @ 2:30pm- right when they close after lunch. We offered to go elsewhere…because we didn’t know they closed mid-day…but the lady invited us to be her last customers. Needless to say, right after our food arrived, she turned off the radio AND the LIGHTS, & left us feeling rushed….& eating in the dark. Then said that she needed to go pick up her child. So rude. And unprofessional. It’s obvious she just wanted the sale.
This was our second visit to Simply Thai. First time was alright, this time we brought our teens. Food is ok. Service was probably one of the worst EVER. This staff is way too focused on their take-out business to attend to their patrons IN the restaurant! No water refils even after we ASKED for water, 4 empty glasses on the table. My food came out 10 full minutes before the rest of my family. Simply Terrible Thai! Go somewhere else!
