This pastry shop is wonderful, local and family owned. The cakes, cookies and bread are made on site and sold by the wonderful Greek mother. The gluten free offerings are so delicious you want to buy them even if you don’t need them. The cakes are beautifully decorated and tasty. the butter cookies remind of the ones you get in the diners up North. There are always cookie trays ready for you to buy and deliver. please give this bakery a try , you won’t regret it.

Zukerino is great and is very good to pick up last minute treat trays to impress a client or hostess. They always have a variety tray of fantastic small treats and cookies already wrapped with a seasonal bow ready to be picked up and delivered to some lucky person. I have had several of their cookies and they were amazing. I am a big baker so for me to like someone else’s’ baking this much is unusual!

Tasteless baklava. They forgot to put the honey in the baklava the day I was there. Absolutely the most tasteless I have every eaten. I have eaten baklava at the Atlanta Greek Festival, in Athens, Greece, and many other places so I know what it should taste like. They refused to refund my $10 box.

BEST BAKERY IN ALL ATLANTA!!!. I grew up in Atlanta and have quite a sweet tooth so I have visited many bakeries over the years. This small shop is by far the best! Don’t let the exterior fool you. The pastries and service are second to none. Every time I visit, I feel like part of the family. The baklava is heavenly, honey perfection! I would eat it every day if I could. (Seriously, I have to control myself since it is on my way home from work.) The chocolate mousse cakes are amazing for anyone who is a chocoholic like me! It has to be one of the best chocolate cakes I have eaten anywhere. (I travel across the world for work and would rate their baklava and chocolate cake as some of the best I’ve tried anywhere, including New York, San Francisco, Greece, France, and Italy.) Just be aware that the cakes are huge. They also have a great selection of delicious, made from scratch cookies, breads, and pies. The shop is family-owned by a very sweet, Greek couple. The wife always remembers me and is so friendly. I feel like part of the family! She realized it was our daughter’s first Easter so she gave me a box of cookies and a decorated egg for her. It was so sweet! I LOVE THIS PLACE AND ALWAYS LEAVE FEELING BETTER THAN WHEN I ARRIVED!!! There aren’t too many places you can say that about. The prices are also extremely reasonable. So I’m able to get world class pastries and service at regular prices. I love this place! It is by far my favorite bakery and I hope you get to enjoy it too!

Italian Rum Cake. I have been searching for Italian Rum Cream Cake in Atlanta. My search came to an end when I heard about Zukerino Pastry Shop in Dunwoody. This is a new addition to Atlanta market and I consider them one of the best pastry Shops in Atlanta. One of the things that is so special about them, is that they are very friendly and willing to do whatever you want. Theo is the pastry Chef and I asked him about the Italian Rum cake. For those that have visited the Northeast, it is basically a lightly rum flavored infused sponge cake, with one layer of Italian chocolate cream and one layer of Italian vanilla cream. It is then topped with real whipped cream with shaved almonds or strawberries or cherries. Theo made one for me this past week and it is as good as anything I have ever tasted in the Philadelphia area. Theo also has a Coconut Cake made with real cream and fresh coconut shavings. This is the best Coconut cake I have ever had. Of course they have a complete variety of pastries and cakes. You owe it to yourself to stop by and visit Zukerino Pastries in Dunwoody. The owners Theo and Soula are wonderful people. They are in a little hidden building on Cotillion Drive and N. Peachtree Road. Well worth the trip. For all the Italians or people from the north who remember the Italian Rum cakes, this is the place to go!!
