Cute little local restaurant. Very friendly staff. Wait time was long because of their size, but we enjoyed watching the locals come and go just the same. We had the 18oz ribeye. It was cooked to the temp we requested. We had the onion rings for an appetizer and let me tell you we were stuffed! Plenty of food. Little touches like pickles, onions, butter and cracker waiting on your table for you. Stop by if you are in the area. We wished we would have shared. It was a lot of food. Steak was $31.99 if that is out of your range. Lots more to choose from for less though. Plenty of seafood, quail and chicken.
Overrated. Typical overrated country restaurant. the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice, but that’s about where anything good stops. The food is mediocre, some of it is way overpriced, and is pretty much forgettable. If you’re not into fried stuff, you are almost out of luck. My wife got grilled chicken that reminded me of a grilled hotdog in both flavor and texture. I had the quail, which was similar in flavor, but with a worse texture. Sides were okay, but nothing amazing. First and last time visit.

Locals Lovin It. Being born and raised in the area I have been eating at The Log Cabin for many years. When I visit home I usually go there because the food is excellent. Nancy & Gene are the greatest of hosts and are always on the premises. Their staff is also a friendly bunch who have been there a number of years. Don’t be alarmed if you see a dog or two when you arrive, they are people friendly. The owners are animal lovers and have been taken advantage of by anyone who wanted to get rid of a dog or cat by dropping it off somewhere it will be taken care of. Remember it is a small restaurant and there is usually a long wait on the weekend unless you arrive early, but it is definitely worth the wait! Before you know it you will be a frequent customer too!
Great Food especially the grilled Quail. This is a smaller, privately owned, off the main road kind of restaurant where usually only locals or repeat visitors know about, but this is a gem. Anytime my father or I eat here we almost always get the grilled quail which is the best I’ve eaten anywhere. Juicy, flavorful, and just plain good. The other food is great too and if you are within an hour of this place it is worth the drive. Wait times can be long and they have a smaller than usual dining area, but the food is awesome. If you want better wait times go mid week or an hour or so before closing, but they are not open everyday and close for some holidays so call before you make the drive. You can’t go wrong eating here though, especially if you like quail or steak.
