Hands-down, one of the best coffee establishments in Atlanta. The beans they use here are exceptional as are the techniques employed in Aurora’s barista-caffeinated creations. You get all the bonuses here from most coffee shops (free wifi, outdoor seating, etc) without the negatives (no disgruntled artist behind the counter ignoring you cuz you look like a jock, etc). Just good, appropriately bitter or sharp coffee, depending on what you’re looking for. Try the expresso here – it tastes the way it should, which is saying a lot.I’ve also, in the early days of this establishment, met some very fine people here that have become lifelong friends. This is an eclectic crowd that isn’t so due to a poser-attitude – just real, diverse people. independentrestaurantreview.com
My absolute favorite coffeehouse in the entire city, with the added bonus that it’s located in Little Five Points. Outstanding drip coffee, espresso drinks, locally sourced yogurt, juices, and pastries, etc. Plus there’s an entire huge wall of flyers about upcoming concerts. Love it.
Best Coffee in Town — Bar None. A friend and I used to joke that Aurora must put special drugs in their coffee, it’s so good. It’s a Batdorf and Bronson blend that I’ve been told other shops in town use … but I swear, there’s something about the way they brew it in Aurora L5P that makes it fantastic. Aurora’s also relatively inexpensive for a coffee bar; has good pastries, dependable wi-fi and excellent special drinks. I like the music and Indy scene there, myself (although it might not be for everyone). Service is at times too cool for its own good, but generally friendly. Seating ain’t bad, but not the most comfortable.
Very disappointed.. I was impressed with their espresso the first time I had it, but the second time I visited this coffeehouse the service was terrible. The barista was very rude and refused to make drinks 10-minutes to close. Why have your open sign on if you refuse to serve?
