Tasteless Pizza. It looked good, but the crust tasted like cardboard and the sauce had no seasoning or flavor, whatsoever. Perhaps that’s why they have garlic salt and oregano on the tables – in addition to the usual parmesan cheese and peppers. Kinda expensive, too. – the cold PBRs were the best thing about this place.
Cold beer and pretty good pie. Salads and calzones are nice too.
They have the best food & staff. Keep up the great work! 🙂
Grant Central – Great Place…Dont like it goto pizza hut. This is a great place and the food is awesome…The punkish/skater boy atmosphere rocks. I see many eccentric people in this area… I love it. . for the comment above about the atmosphere of Grant Central and the surrounding restaurants… look at the staff and the other customers, pretty sure you’re obviously not the crowd that these place cater to… if you want to sit down and have a quiet conversations while eating.. go to a buckhead or perimeter for fine dining, not a pizza joint in east atl.
The music is too loud. The pizza is ok. But they habitually play aggressive music (e.g., metal, rap) at levels that are outrageously loud. It is not good for conversation or the digestion. Although I live only a couple of blocks from the place, I’ve stopped going because of the unpleasant atmosphere. This problem is all too common with ITP restaurants, and particularly in East Atlanta. I wish that restaurateurs and staff would realize that the dining room atmosphere is for their customers and not for them.
The Closest ATL will ever be to NYC…. We started going to Grant Central because it was close to our vet (East Atl Animal Clinic– the kindest people on earth). We ONLY go to Grant Central now because it’s freakin’ AWESOME. Their ingredients are super fresh (as an anchovy fan, I tell you this in ALL sincerity). I don’t care what coupons the chains throw at us— I only want Grant Central. Excellent prices, no coupons needed (they may HAVE coupons–I never checked…I didn’t care).
No air conditioning. But great NY style pizza.
