By far, the best corned beef and cabbage I have ever tasted! Many other places have made it overly salty, but definitely not this one…very tender with delicious flavor. My pub breakfast was equally just as good, although a bit short on the tomato and mushroom portions. On a Sunday afternoon, it was mostly frequented by a few Premier League football fans. No complaints, and I definitely can’t wait to return so I can try a few more of the menu items!

Good Irish Pub in east Atlanta. This restaurant had good food and beer. Nice and attentive staff and a great atmosphere. I recommend the anything with their fries.

Just ok. Elder tree is ok. The food items can be good such as fish and chips, which once was pretty good to another rather blandish so I had to add more and more vinegar. My largest problem with elder other than slow bar service is they state on their Facebook page they will showing a specific soccer match , so come in and watch and take part in their specials. Well, twice I have gone to watch that certain match, but we’re tuned to something completely different. Once I asked bar tender if he change to the espn2 match and after sitting ten minutes in empty resturant he still didn’t tune to the requested channel. So both times we just walked to Midway just down the street and watched with good food, good match and peeps. So, I’ve removed them or disliked them from my Facebook and hope they will get things sorted with slowish bar service, communication with their Facebook mgr and food.

Loud bad music. I’ve been 5 times, and every time they were playing loud and hyper-aggressive punk and metal. It is very hard to relax and enjoy your meal when someone constantly screaming at you.

Folllow-up.. Went back for lunch and had the shepherd’s pie – excellent and huge portion.09 Apr, 2012What I’ve been waiting for. The service was friendly and attentive. The small patio was so relaxing. The 2 appetizers I tried – crab cakes and potato cakes topped with salmon – both wonderful! Big portions and very reasonable prices. The crab cakes were filled with big chunks of crab. The sandwiches and sides were excellent. I’m going back asap to try the shepherd’s pie and fish and chips. Best restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. Also very convenient to I-20.
