Quite possibly a perfect meal. Flank Steak with Mac & Cheese, Fish & Chips, cookie balls, and Neet Kombucha. Wowzer. Very impressed. A tremendous find. Wish we didn’t live 1000 Mike’s away….

Great hangout spot in Little 5. The macaroni and cheese is so so so good. Great beer selection and a nice rustic atmosphere. I went for lunch during the snow storms last year and it was one of the few places open due to bad road conditions. It was packed but the atmosphere was fun and the staff was so nice and knowledgable. One of many gems in Little 5.

Weather it’s a bar or restaurant that you’re looking for, this place has few equals. It’s not for everyone. The staff isn’t here to make a person feel good or gourmet. (Only 2% of Americans will have any appreciation for the music played on the PA – and they don’t care) However the food is gourmet and just so creative. And the beer selection is unparalleled.

Worth The Wait. I spotted this Gastro Pub online and wanted to come for my birthday but was unable. So, luckily my wifes birthday was 3 weeks later and we headed to Little 5. This is what a bar experience should be. Very in-town, very hipster vibe but the staff was very friendly. The bar top was made out of concrete. They have so many beers on tap it is insane. I found out that I am a lover of the sour beers? Who would have thought. Al though we had eaten before we came, we did try the goat cheese fritters. My wife was not big on them as she is not a big fan of goat cheese but these things got better after every bite. We were so impressed with this place that we will definitely be back for more food. I couldn’t help myself, I had to be the guy that was taking pictures a lot. I just could not contain my excitement. I completely recommend this place but be ready to wait. If you want a seat at the bar during peak hours, you must be a hawk (which I was) and we got 2 seats at the bar for our first visit which was amazing. Thank you Porter for giving us such a wonderful time and experience on my wifes birthday!

What a gastropub should be.. All these places claiming to be gastropubs that just serve slightly elevated bar food need to take a look at The Porter. There’s always a good rotation of specials and the permanent options are tasty. Salt and vinegar popcorn? Yes, please. French fries with an herbed oil drizzled on top and garlic aioli that fills the place with the most amazing aroma as a batch passes your table? Absolutely! Don’t forget the brunch! The Porter has the best biscuits around, and I have been sampling a lot of brunch places to know 🙂

Laid back Gastropub. First time at Porter and I will be back. This is a place for those who love high quality beer and food. The Porter is very casual and service was excellent. We split a meal and a couple apps. The cheeseburger (with the best homemade pickles!) was juicy and full of flavor. The heaping mound of herb fries was a great side. We also shared the hushpuppies filled with bits of prosciutto and cheese – outstanding! The mac n cheese (all homemade, including the pasta) was very rich and tasty. And let’s not forget the beer, one could not ask for a bigger and better variety of drafts.

Where do I begin, we will definitely visit this place when in Atlanta. Justin is a GREAT bartender (let him choose your beer/drink)! The ramen, lamb tongue, burger, Mac ‘n’ Cheese and tartare are good. Can’t go wrong at this place.
