Outstanding beer, good service and delicious, unusual, reasonably priced food – who could ask for more?

Wonderful place for some creative cooking in an old restored historical home . Service is excellent , prices are reasonable , atmosphere is great . Quality of good is great , and portion size is perfect . Creative items on the menu, with words you can’t pronounce but prices and presentation on the dish won’t break the bank account . A gem here in HotLanTA .

A Brewers Delight. We stopped in for drinks (too bad for us since the menu looked outstanding). As an official card carrying home brewer and beer snob I couldn’t wait to start sampling. True to good brew pubs, they offered up samples of virtually everything that was on tap and boy was that selection fascinating. If you are a beer person who feels that they’ve seen and had it all, then stop here. I had a Gose that flew across my pallet like a tornado of flavors. The brewer here is pushing the limits and crafting some wildly great brews.

OOOH I’m in love <3. You know you love a place when you go there twice in a 24 hour span and then designate it as your spot for future parties…Wednesday night D and I went there after dinner for some drinks and dessert but when we looked at the menu we instantly regretted coming there after dinner. We each had 2 of their homemade brews, and shared the creme brle everything was delicious, the creme brle melted in my mouth i even saw D drop some and eat it from his menu-it was that good. Thursday we had dinner. I will remember this dinner until I go back there again and eat more. The pretzel in the kale cheese dip-that must be what an angels kiss tastes like. The rabbit wings will never make you want to get chicken again. The homemade hot sauce is in it of itself a masterpiece, its a travesty that they don’t sell it. The brussel sprout and butternut squash hash was delectable and the chicken and dumplings better than my meemaws (do not ever tell her that). Last but not least was the wrecking bar. OMG that wrecking bar. I will think about that every time I eat another dessert and be dismayed because nothing can ever compete or compare. If you are thinking about trying Wrecking Bar, DONT THINK JUST DO IT, BEST DECISION.

Time it right & drink some shorties. Cool building, limited parking, fantastic service, quality beers and memorable food. If I lived in Atlanta, the Wrecking Bar would be a regular destination. I was surprised to find plenty of tables open on Monday night around 6:30pm, but my dining alone made it easy to get a small two-seater. – – When it comes to liquid refreshment, this place knows what they are doing. The beers are top-notch and being able to order 8oz half pours allows you to try more of their offerings. The 80 shilling, Jemmy Dean breakfast stout and hopfen roggen lager were all fantastic and not overpowering. Getting a cold glass bottle of water at the table is a much-appreciated an under-utilized touch. – – For food, the pickled veggies & pimento cheese were a perfect start and Im glad I went with my waiters suggestion on the Koln malt encrusted NC trout on a bed of mixed vegetables. I took my time with the meal and savored every bite and sip. – – Wrecking Bar would be great for a date night, family/friends gathering or even a meal alone. Great quality for the price and an inviting atmosphere. Im sure I would enjoy the tables on the patio too on a return visit. I agree with Beer Advocate this is certainly one of the best beer destinations in Atlanta!

Okay beer lovers who are also foodies: PUT THIS ON YOUR LIST OF MUST-GO the next time you get to Atlanta GA. The have delicious food and very thoughtfully crafted beers. We started with the Kale Cheese fondue served with a soft delicious pretzel, apple slices, and sliced veg. My family ordered a variety of items: pulled pork– Carolina-style; roasted chicken with amazing mashed potatoes and tangy collard greens; the Wrecking Bar Burger; and malt crusted trout with the best Brussels sprouts ever! Well we were so satisfied, we knew we didn’t need dessert. So we only ordered three. And are so glad we did. Stout Creme Brule, The Stout Sundae and the home-made Wrecking Bar. GET ONE of those!! Incredible. There were nothing but empty vessels left on our table. We didn’t break the bank either! GO!!!
