It was …decent like alright. The gumbo was okay not to be a douche but it lacked the essential spice. The fried shrimp platter was good! big juicy fried gulf shrimp. My fav was the Oreo white chocolate cheesecake

Best Cajun food we have had outside of Louisiana! Awesome menu and great service! We are here on a business trip and chose the restaurant because it was close to the hotel. Best choice we could have made!

A and I met Dad for dinner tonight and driving from Newnan into Atlanta we drove through a huge storm. It eventually caught up to us and knocked the power out at the restaurant. Thankfully we already ordered and we did get our dinner (cooking on gas). I had the grouper and shrimp, dad had crab cakes and A had the grits with shrimp and andouille sausage. All was wonderful!Great job Louisiana Bistreau on handling things with class. The food was great as was the service (thanks James). So many people came by to apologize for the power outage which was all over East Point…which was no big deal since they took candles to all the tables.

Great Louisian Food in Atlanta. Just got back from Lousiana Bistreaux. We started with the Alligator Bites. I asked if they could blacken them and the brough them out with blaken seasonings. The most tender aligator bites I ever had in my life. Delicious. Norris had the Crab cakes and I had the Jumbalaya.. Both were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Crabcakes were crab.. not lots of filler. Jumbalaya filled with shrimp, andouille sasuage and chicken. More than I could eat. Wait staff gracious and prices very reaasonable. Definitley more trips back. Located on Virginia Ave just off I-85.

…and did I mention the fried alligator with aioli sauce? Scrumptious! Not everyone can properly alligator!18 Jan, 2015Finally, the south has risen to the occasion!!! Louisiana Bistreaux, although in it’s infancy will no doubt make it’s mark in the dining marketplace. We visited the establishment within 2 weeks of it’s opening so we expected some lag time between service and taste, but to our surprise, the overall dining experience was excellent. We could tell our waitress was a bit inexperienced, but she still delivered a home run. ROY, not really sure of his role, but he was Johnny on the spot for everything. From host to presentation to followup and overall experience. We felt the music needed to be reflective of the cuisine…and he assured us they will make that change ASAP, but I digress…My husband had the Grouper Orleans and it was OUTSTANDING! Grouper topped with lump crab and shrimp drizzled with a ponchartrain sauce…served with corn maque choux and dirty rice, this dish teased the taste buds with multiple layers of spices and flavors (without being spicy hot). Don’t miss out on this dish!I had the Bourbon Maple Chicken over jalapeo grits, yumm-o! Although my dish was obviously a very plain dish, what I appreciated was that Roy wanted input on what he could do to UP the flavor factor a notch, and unless he was just blowing smoke (which I doubt) I expect the next time I visit the restaurant I will probably see a change in that dish. They are still perfecting their beignets and au lait so it’s not on the menu…YET, but don’t sleep on the bourbon bread pudding and Oreo cheesecake. I can’t wait to see what they will do for the month of February to pay homage to Mardi Gras, they have some things planned, and I will be at the front of the line. Move over Spondivits, there is a new player in town and I think they came to up the game on Virginia Ave!Bon ApetiteCarla

Excellent Gumbo and More!. Fantastic food and service! My family and I dined here on Jan.7,2015 and would highly reccomend it. We frequent the New Orleans area and this restaurant was as good as any we’ve been to there.Delicious Cajun/Creole dishes right near Atlanta. The staff were top-notch-friendly and professional. If you are near the airport in Atlanta, don’t miss this great dining experience!!!!
