Very good spinach and goat cheese omlette, but service is a bit clueless, and they have no clue how to make an espresso macchiato.
Not sure why the rating is so high. Nice space, after you climb the very steep stairs. I had a curry chicken salad sandwich. The bread was a stiff stale croissant and the chicken salad was so finely chopped and dry, not anything special. Bakery chocolate chip cookie was stale, overly sweet: how do you mess up a chocolate chip cookie?! I will never go back.
Okay, but hoped for better. No blue cheese as stated on roast beef panino. Good sweets.
The perfect study place.. Canvas has become my favorite Marietta study place. Free WiFi, plenty of power plugs, very clean dining area and restrooms, always an open table, free coffee refills, not too loud, and the very nice staff lets you sit as long as you want with zero hassle. There’s even a really nice patio with a power plug or two out there. Moreover, the service here is really nice and caring, they are open til 9pm, and the food is really good! The coffee tastes great (light or dark roast options), the Umami burger and truffle fries will have you coming back for more. The coffee is less than $2 for a large. Great desserts, too. I wish I found this place earlier, but I’m glad I found it now.
Our Once A Year Go-To Place. Every year, my neighbors meet early on a designated winter morning, for the historic Marietta house tour. After traipsing through homes, we’re hungry and tired. This has become our go-to place for lunch. And here’s why: the sandwiches are delicious! The bread is fresh, the fillings innovative, desserts are yummy.I’m generally not in this area at lunchtime — but if I were, I’d eat here more frequently. See you in December, guys!
Yummy!. Love this place! Fresh sandwiches, love the bakery part the most. I had the CBA, and one of their awesome chocolate chip cookies! Go try, it’ll be busy but it’s worth it!
To CanvasChef:. I handle all the marketing and catering for Jimmy John’s in the Atlanta Metro area and can assure you that it was neither me, nor any of my business partners trashing you on this site. Whether corporate or indy, we at JJ’s view the service industry as collaborative. We’re all about positivity and want everyone in the area to succeed; as long as the community is happy, we all win. I’m sorry you think it is us trolling the net, but I can assure you we have no malice towards any store in the area. When off the clock we try to frequent as many mom&pop bars, delis, restaurants, etc., and are just happy to be in Hotlanta. Sorry for the perceived ill-will. Cheers,Jonathan
