Ugh – getting too big – making too much money. I live close by and stop a lot…usually for pound cake. The last three times have been a disasterNot sure what they changed but they changed something – it’s awfulBye Bye Gabriels

YUM!. Love the chicken salad in the deli frig, the side dishes are amazing, nice friendly people, good old Southern Sweet Tea. Small but clean. Be sure to save room for dessert – LOVE the Strawberry cake!

This place is only good for the wedding cakes/cookies. If you wanna think you are eating healthy lunch/breakfast items, its good..I guess..but if everything wasn’t injected with fat, it would be better. Secret to the roasted chicken? Mrs. Dash seasoning…all the greens..animal fat is poured into canned vegetables…okra..frozen from a bag (along with any childrens menu item) If you can’t get macoroni and cheese on a specific day, but your child can..it’s because they cut out frozen leftovers and microwave it. Those delicious deluctable cinnamon rolls? Phillsbury frozen from a box…same with the croissants. That crunchy bacon cooked just right could have been cooked 4 days ago, stored in the grease, and then reheated to order. It would be amazing if Johnnie made the recipies to the only thing truely good there, the cakes; but it even notes in the newspaper she asked the retiring marietta cake lady for the recipies. How did they make those delicious cheese straws? Don’t ask them..an old woman who lives close by makes them all, delivers them in gallon sized bags, where Gabriel’s stores them in the freezer for months until they need to put more out. Atleast you can give them props for hiding their flaws so well.. and you may think Johnnie is the nicest woman, but thats only for the thousands of dollars people spend on her daily.

Hashbrown Casserole. I love going to Gabriel’s. The atmosphere is wonderful. Whatever I order is always good, but my FAVORITE is hashbrown casserole, creamy, cheesy and yummy. It is the ultimate comfort food. I wish Johnnie would have it every day. Try it. You’ll love it. For a sweet treat, nothing can be the chocolate toffee cookie.

Melt in Yo Mouth Good!. I discovered this place years ago and make the drive over about once a month to grab 2 of their melt in yo mouth goood… Key Lime Tarts…. Well worth the drive, I usually eat 1 while sitting in the parking lot.
