I don’t think they boil their bagels first, which I really prefer, so the bagels are a little lighter than I like.
Haven’t been to the actual bakery but we get bagels (and fresh mozzarella) from them at the farmers market in Marietta and they are always so helpful and nice. They always remember my husband because he’s from NJ too. The bagels are really tasty esp right when we get them home!
Review. I love their food but I can stand their customer service. On several occasions our company has ordered food and it comes back wrong. On top of that they have told us that there is always issues with our company. I do not know how that could be when we fax over per their request our order or if it is done over the phone they repeat the order back to us. I also do not think that customers should over hear the owners fussing at each other or their employees.
Good bagels and sandwiches. I have been here a few times, and their soups, sandwiches and bagels were all very good and prepared quickly. And although I really like the food, I do not enjoy eating here. It’s a very small, cramped space and when it gets busy there are people standing right next to your table while you’re eating. Get it to go or eat outside. Nice NJ native owners who know how to make proper sweet tea.
Awesome Homemade Treats!. This place is AWESOME!!! The freshest bagels in town by far. The owners are friendly and you just feel like you’re with family when you enter the shop. The danish are to die for, as well as the huge sandwiches with the freshest meats and veggies. Check out the homemade mozarella while you’re there as well. And, their newest creation the tomato asiago cheese flatbreads are great with steak and melt in your mouth. This is a can’t miss for a Saturday morning treat, or for any day of the week except Sunday for that matter!
Hoboken is the best. I have been a loyal customer of Hoben Bread & Bagel for years. I’ve had them cater events, ship baked goods and sampled every product on the menu and it only gets better. The food is wonderful and the owners treat their customers like family. I’ve never had such good chicken salad!!!
