Terrible Experience. This is the worst Mexican or any other restaurant I have ever been to, the server couldn’t get our order right to begin, when the food came out it looked and tasted so bad, plus it wasn’t what right. Ordered a beef taco salad, came out with 5 cold pieces of meat (not ground beef) on top of plain white cold rice and bean soup in a cold taco shell. I also ordered enchilada supreme, all 3 enchiladas was cold, I had added a potato enchilada with it which was just plain disgusting. Told the manager about it, he didn’t offer an apology for the food being bad, he just said how about a free beer. We paid and left, the next day we check our account and the manager added a 10 dollar tip on the bill. When we called back to the restaurant there was no manager on duty and the person who answered said the manger had added the tip because he is the only one that had access to the cash register. Needless to say I will never go back to this place nor would I recommend it. If you want terrible food and customer service this is the place for you. Otherwise I would advise to never ever go here. Just to be clear this is the location by the Big Chicken.

My wife and I ate here last night on what, unfortunately, will be our last visit. We chose it because (a) I have eaten here since 2005, and (b) we knew that Mexican restaurants closer to us would have unacceptably long wait times. This meal showed why. Only a handful of tables were occupied when we entered. There was a sour smell, as of dirty cleaning solution, in the air. We were seated immediately and rapidly served chips and salsa. I tried to order drinks, but it appears that only the actual waiters speak English here. When our server appeared we ordered a pitcher of the frozen house margarita. When it came, instead of pouring, he rushed off. We ended up with a mess on the table since between the design of the pitcher and the consistency if the drink it was very difficult to pour. When the waiter finally reappeared about 10 minutes later we placed our a la carte food order. The first item to appear was a fresh basket of chips and a smaller-than-I-remembered bowl of cheese dip. The bowl was frankly tiny and had bubbled during prep, leaving burned cheese on the saucer. Not worth the $4.85 the charge. The entrees and sides were served a bit later. We had ordered fried beans, which were okay, crunchy tacos (mediocre), and poblanos rellenos (mine beef, hers cheese) which were the high point of the meal. As we ate we noted a party of eight who were having issues with incorrect orders, complicated by the primarily non-English-speaking staff. Another family came in after we had been served, who received burned fajitas. Not overcooked or well done, but frankly charred. The odor was horrible. I have enjoyed this Los Reyes location since 2005, both alone and with friends, and have in the main enjoyed it. However, the quality of the food and service have declined dramatically recently. My wife and I agreed that we could see no point in returning. I guess we’ll just plan to make reservations at establishments closer to home.

Service was good, food was like any other Mexican restaurant, margarita was a little expensive but enough alcohol to make it worth it. my problem with this place was the pricing was all off, extras added to your food is ridiculously expensive. they charged a dollar to add 5 mushrooms to a quesadilla and $2 to drizzle queso over your food. probably won’t be coming back
