  Beginner’s sushi. Ru San’s is my go to for easy and quick sushi. I love their tuna sashimi entree and their kimchi tuna maki rolls. They definitely serve westernized sushi versus the more daring and authentic sashimi/sushi. Most of the food at Ru San’s is doused in sauces or seasonings. If you like heavy sauces on your sushi or a strong flavor from your meals, then you will probably like this place. I would never recommend Ru San’s to the truly hardcore sashimi/sushi lovers. They know what fresh and high quality fish tastes like, so I would be too scared to recommend Ru San’s. I would, however, recommend Ru San’s to beginner sushi eaters. It’s not overly fancy or over priced, so if you don’t like it, you won’t be wasting too much money. I’m not sure why it is labeled $$$ because it is honestly one of the cheapest sushi joints I have been to. They have plates that can be expensive, but their maki roll deals and nigiri/sushi specials are really awesome ($1-3 for three or more pieces).

  Not sure why there are so many disappointed people. We have been patrons for 4 yrs. As long as u don’t expect it to be an upscale sushi rest, u won’t b disappointed. The Rising Sun is amazing & local fav. And they have the best $1 variety I’ve seen around town. Ask for John, he always treats us right.

  Disappointed. Called in a to go order after looking at the menu online. The staff was rude when I mispronounced a roll. When I came I pick it up the bill was more than twice what the prices said online and when I confronted the staff they had no answer. Sushi itself was decent.

  Could have been a decent place, but no cigar!. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, a large menu, reasonable prices, and diverse customers. So what is there not to like? Unfortunately, the staff spoils it. They complain about other staff to customers; they gossips about customers to each other … until at last the place is redolent with tension, pretense, prejudice, insecurity, resentment and hypocrisy. It kills the potential of the place. Tonight’s two-faced waiter Jimmy, for instance — who practically elbowed his way to my table just recently — so ignored his few customers that I had to enlist the aid of a cook, and appeal to the manager, to be able to dine and leave legally — but not before receiving rather unintelligent facile flattery came time to sign the bill. Of course, it is the people that make – or break — any place.

  Better sushi in the immediate area. We’ve been to every sushi restaurant in Kennesaw, but decided to try RuSans tonight. We were less than impressed. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come great us. The sushi menu itself is huge. It took us way too long to read the menu. Sushi was ok, nothing special. The restaurant itself has a food safety rating of 83. They were docked points for food temperatures. If we had known this walking in we would have walked right out. All together it was not a good experience.

  This is by far the worst sushi place I have ever been too. I visited during lunch hour for the buffet. Items were not fresh. And they did not keep the sushi bar full. They just let every thing run out and it was only 1:30pm. Buffet ends at 2:30. I asked several times for items to be refilled and it did not happen. I was incredible disappointed in the quality of service and food. I will never return to this Ru Sans. There are plenty of sushi places in this area and I will give all my future service to them
