Ru San’s just screwed themselves over IMO.I have been faithfully going to this Ru San’s for the past 10 years. All throughout high school and college this was my go-to restaurant. I will no longer be dining here. The whole reason I started coming here was for their $1 sushi rolls. For the past 10 years I always could count on eating my body weight in sushi for not much money. Not anymore. While they only raised the price by 50 cents, they are now not cheaper than other sushi places in Kennesaw. Not only did they raise the price, but you get less fish and rice in the maki rolls and the regular sushi pieces. They also are now doing what Kuroshio’s started doing – removing the sriracha sauce from the tables. This was also another reason I loved going to Ru San’s; I didn’t have to ask for the sauce. While we are on the Kuroshio’s thought, Ru San’s also got rid of the octopus nigiri. That is my husband’s hands-down favorite thing to eat. Ever. Kuroshio’s still has it though. I bet you can guess where we will be taking our business now.And to top off my final and most unpleasant dining experience here, the waiter incorrectly tried to correct me when I ordered the conch clam nigiri. I have indeed been to the Bahamas where it seems all they eat is conch and I do know how to correctly pronounce it.Only reason I am giving them a rating of 2 instead of 1 is that the food that I did receive did taste good. Regardless, Ru San’s has just lost a loyal customer. If it ain’t broke…don’t fix it.
