Worst bbq EVER in history of bbq.. Bring a dog bowl and your dog. That’s the only thing I’d let eat this food. Went here before going to Walmart. What can I say. I a Walmart shopper am complaining about this place. My standards arn’t that high and I’m actually complaining about this place. Don’t eat here it’s bad.
Great sides. Sonny’s is a large chain, and chains are what they are. Don’t expect Fox Brothers or Heirloom here.The sliced pork is somewhat smokey but occasionally rubbery. The pulled pork is always edible, but tastes like it was prepared in an oven or a crock pot. It has no smokiness at all.There are several sauces on the table, but for reasons that aren’t clear, my favorite Carolina sauce is kept in little packets up at the front counter. You’ll have to ask for it, and then remind the waitress a couple of times. You can also get a senior-citizen discount if you ask for it.
Just had the sweet ribs and OMG! Tender & juicy with a flavorful crust. The 3 rib lunch portion had as much meat as most places half rack. Worth the short jog off I-75 for a meal.
Its decent chain BBQ, but this location for years, and to my knowledge still does, has the hottest waitress…Ever. For years it was my college buddies and I very reason for going. Lol, that counts for something. The end.
I got BBQ’d. The huge sampler platter got the better of me. Decent BBQ and large portions.
I hear there are better BBQ spots in Atl, but their pulled chicken is great!
RRD. I just had the Baby back Ribs at this location and Wow, were they great. Best I’ve ever had. Ask about them and found out the cook them from scratch at each Sonny’s and they only use Danish Baby Backs which I understand are the best you can buy……Excellent service too.
