My favorite pasta place in Atlanta. The salads are fresh and organic options. Gluten free pasta option. Friendly servers. Table service has just started – a bit slow. I’m sure they’ll work this out in time. Still my fav pasta in ATL.
What happened to the Figo on Collier?. I haven’t been to this location in a long time, but after trying it out for Sunday lunch with my family on 3/29, I won’t be back. They were short staffed (1 cook; 1 person waiting tables and tending the register), so the service was exceptionally slow. The Spinach salad, which is a staple favorite wasn’t prepared correctly. The meal itself was just okay, and not what I would typically expect from this establishment. I really hope the management values this old neighborhood gym to invest again and bring it back to standard.
We are regulars (once or twice a week) at FIGO on Collier Rd. and really love the food. My issue is more with the management. We came in tonight during the GA State vs Xavier NCAA basketball tourney game. They had arm wrestling on the television and we, and a couple of others apparently, asked if they wouldn’t mind changing the channel to the game. The waiter said he wasn’t allowed to, but would ask the manager. The manager said they aren’t allowed to, stating the owner selects the television channel for the day and they aren’t allowed to change it. It was Saturday night and there were 8 customers, none of which wanted arm wrestling and most would be fine with basketball. I’m in my early 50’s, native to Atlanta and this neighborhood, with kids and own, my own business and worked in restaurants and retail for years as I was finishing college. Most businesses cater to the customer, but FIGO is under the impression they don’t have to. This is one customer, with 5 disappointed family members who just won’t be back as often. Hope they revisit their policy. Atlanta is a fickle restaurant town.
NEVER AGAIN. Went there the other night and ordered take-out. Took the dinner home and opened up and they got my order totally wrong . I was ordering dinner and got a lunch menu. I phoned them and went back and exchanged for what I wanted. (If I was running this business I would have given the meal for free, but they didn’t even bother to excuse themselves) Tonight I went back for a takeout meal and arrived at 9:31 pm upon I was told that the kitchen was closed ! They close at 9:30 pm. I guess that they don’t need the business. I’m not used to Italians that work this way Too bad for me.
Authentic Italian at a great price!. I used to work at Osteria del Figo on Howell Mill, which offers the same great food as this location but is usually much more busy. Now that I don’t work there anymore and since I don’t like to wait, this is the location I usually go to. The food is affordable, authentic, and delicious. Sometimes the ravioli can be a little undercooked, but it doesn’t even matter… it’s still good. I love their whole wheat offerings! Decent wine selection and atmosphere too…
Very Fresh. All of the ingredients are fresh and I could definitely tell. It was super good and very flavorful. The squash zucca was quite a delight. The Chicken panini was also one of the best sandwiches I have had in awhile. Highly recommended
