Terrible. Wait is for ever. Wife loved the curry, but I’ll never be back. Very nice staff, but no concept of taking our order or bringing the bill. Seems focused on take out and delivery. Go to Yoi Yoi next door!!

Veg spring rolls crispy and I think they’re home made. General Tso chicken excellent, moo shu was so so and plum sauce seemed watery, Hunan chicken excellent, Goreng Nanas (pineapple chicken) excellent.23 May, 2015Tom Kha Shrimp Chicken soup and Green Curry were very good. High quality Chicken.

Spartan appearance & incredible food. I have never enjoyed a Thai meal this much, and I love Thai food. The place is by no means a dive, just simple. I would recommend this place to anyone. I have been back two times within two weeks since my first visit.

A dive, hole-in-the-wall Thai place with great food. Malaya is very much a dive. But it’s a dive that I wouldn’t hesitate to take a date. Particularly if she’s looking for really great Thai/Chinese food. Generally speaking I critique Chinese restaurants by one particular dish. I’ve ordered Orange Chicken at dozens of different places across America. And I’m always pleasantly shocked when I find a place that doesn’t just serve the standard Sysco branded chicken and orange sauce combination. In due fashion I had the Tangeriene Chicken, with egg drop soup. Absolutely wonderful. No pre-packed and frozen food here. The chicken was crispy, and juicy at once. Not something you can pull off unless you’re breading, and cooking it to order. And the Orange sauce, oh my! This was not the standard stuff that comes out of a bag. It had an authentic orange flavor, with a slightly spicy taste to it.The setting was, as I said, kind of a dive. Cement floors, and fans on the walls probably dating back to when the place didn’t have air conditioning. But again, this is the type of thing that really makes a hole in the wall restaurant authentic.Overall, this is a great place if you’re more concerned about great Thai/Chinese food, and not pretentious settings.

Update: haven’t been there in 2 years since my boyfriend (now fianc) moved from tht area. Went back tonight and the owner remembered us. Food was good as always! Especially the Mongolian beef.24 Oct, 2010Can’t go wrong at this place. Chinese and Thai are excellent. I haven’t ha any of the Malaysian yet. Service is 5 star. The soups are also excellent. Big portions for the price!

Great sesimi chicken and sweet and sour soup. I would recomend take out because of the depressing atmosphere.
