Friday evening. We made a reservation and got there about 10 minutes before 6:30pm. We were seated pretty fast but it was a small table with two chairs in the middle of traffic with customers and servers. We couldn’t even read the menu with all the glare. A couple left and I asked the hostess if we could move into a booth that was vacated. We did but during the time we were there not one person was seated at the table we were at. What is wrong with this picture? After seated at the booth we felt more comfortable. We ordered and it took at least 30 minutes( is that the norm- being our first at salsa’s) to get our food. Just to let you know the food was good but sorry- the service needs a lot of improvement. Your business was given kudos from other local friends in Evans. Unfortunately- my husband doesn’t want to come back. 🙁
Awesome!. Very nice experience, and you must try the fish tacos and the $5 dollar marguerita was well made. 🙂
Greatly improved. Have been going to Salsa’s in Evans for more than two years. Started with good food and great service. Changed to mediocre food and slow service. Last three dinners in 3 weeks, food was very good and service has greatly improved. We’ll go back to eating there weekly.
Two words…not good! Tortilla dry, Cheeseburger icy cold in the middle, Tamales hard and to top it off, we had to remind our server on what we ordered. We will not return…too many better Mexican Restaurants in town.
Not on Fridays. Our family has been a regular at this location since its grand opening and have seldom been disappointed. However, the last couple of visits (both on Fridays) have been disappointing. The service has been slow and not very attentive. I understand the kitchen backing up during peak times, but Mexican restaurants are typically faster than most, even during rush hour. While you are waiting for your meal, your server should be checking on your table for refills of chips and drinks, and your silverware should arrive before your meal. There are a few newer servers that need some more training. We are ready to try the original location to see if it’s better. We will likely keep coming to the one in Evans, but not as often as before, and definitely not on Fridays.
Save $30 and head to Taco Bell. My family of 5 ( wife, 3 girls all under 5, and myself) went here for tex-mex because our ‘usual’ place was closed. Food was mediocre at best, service was terrible. What prompted this review was the utter sticker shock when the waiter brandished the bill: >$50. This same meal costs us around $30 at our usual spot 2 blocks further down the road. Absolute price gouge for cheese dip (3oz for 5 bucks) and ‘soft drinks’. Overall, an abysmal experience. I will not be back
The food is decent. Can’t beat the lunch special deals. But the service lacks! I waited 45 minutes for my food. My fajitas were not hot off the grill like usual. Based on poor service, I’ll never go back there again.
