Overall Good Experience!. After years of visiting my in-laws in Augusta/Evans, and had always wondered if TBonz was any good. We went there for lunch today, and overall, everything was good! Attentive server(she was female and a brunette – didn’t catch her name) and management. I had the sh-crab soup, which was spot-on. The house salad was really tasty with Ranch, hot bread with honey butter. My husband’s fish sandwich was awesome, as was my children’s cheeseburger, chicken finger and mashed potatoes. I had the French Dip, which lacked any luster. They had french/sub rolls, which is what I expected it to be on, but it was a hamburger bun. The meat was pretty dry, au jus was tasty. I went to the restroom and apparently surprised a red-headed female and brunette male server, and they uncomfortably dispersed when they saw me. Maybe management should be keeping a closer eye on their staff! There was a weird sewage-like smell in the lobby of the restaurant, but it didn’t affect our meal. We will definitely be back. Next time I will get the she-crab soup bowl and a wedge salad, or that fantastic fish sandwich!!!
Unbelievable reviews. Some of these reviews are unbelievable. I’ve been dining at tbonz for years. I’ve always enjoyed a pleasant meal along with energetic staff ready to please. I can’t say anything bad. Whenever my girlfriends and I go for lunch we always have a nice time. The salad special on Monday is my favorite! Steak, chick, and shrimp salad for under 10$ with a drink…that’s pretty good to me!On Fridays, my boyfriend and I split a porterhouse. It’s big and 3$ off it’s regular price! We love it and think Tbonz is a staple of the CSRA.
Wonderful Experience. We arrived to the restaurant with high expectations. We had previously enjoyed some cuisine during Master’s week 2012 and were looking forward to great steaks and friendly people. Well…we were totally impressed. Not only was the staff courteous and knowledgeable, the specials for the night were delightful! We enjoyed fried green beans to start (they were fresh and snapped when bitten into, but had a profound batter to complement. 2nd, we had a nice small salad that enticed us but, did not fill us up. The Ranch Dressing (homemade) was delicious! Finally, our steaks were grilled to perfection. Both Med Rare, and the presentation of a Peppercorn Mushroom gravy over the steak with Finely slced fried onion straws really added a different texture to go along with our fantastic steaks. Don’t change a thing!!
Our first visit to the Evans TBonz was disappointing. The service was good, and the wings were great. But beyond that, there’s not much else positive. I had the filet, and my husband had the prime rib. Both were tasteless. Everyone was very nice, but not a place we will go to again. Had hoped we had found a good steak place closer to home.
Best Dinner in Town!. We went on a Thursday at 7 pm and were seated almost immediately. (There were 8 of us mind you) I ordered a Salad, Steak, and 2 sides, and paid around $25 for my whole meal. The waitress was super nice!!! Will definatley be visiting again next time.
Having voted I liked it, I must clarify. I will admit our first experience at the restaurant in Evans wasn’t great but we decided to give it a second chance and discovered that the burgers are pretty awesome. I ordered a cheeseburger and my daughters ordered the bbq bacon burger. These suckers are massive and some of the best we have had in awhile. Their chicken wings are very good as well. Prepare yourself for the waiters… Although a bit over the top at times they do achieve their mission.
AWFUL.. All 8 of us had a bad experience at this Tbonz in Evans. Portions were small and one of us ordered a 13oz ribeye and over half of it was fat. Also throughout dinner I smelled a BAD FISHY smell not goooddd!! It ended up being the fat on the porterhouse..it was sick!!To say the least I’ll never be going back!!!
