Had the Friday special of steak tips and rice plus 3 veggies, green beans, mac and cheese and black eyed peas. Coke products (and coke tea) to drink, don’t know what brand coffee. The tips and green beans were great, the mac and cheese good and the beans ok. No complaints except that there’s better iced tea than gold peak.

A pretty good breakfast place with fresh food usually prepared the way it was ordered. Portions a bit on the skimpy side for the prices they charge. Not a very good lunch stop as the choices are very slim. But as stated a good spot in Evans for breakfast, but if you are hungry and want to save a few bucks hit the Waffle House down the road,

Had the Business Breakfast with home fries, Bacon, and wheat toast. Good, decent food with reasonable prices. Will have to go back for lunch and try a burger. Nice atmosphere with a friendly, attentive staff.

The first thing to note is that we went here for a slightly late lunch and didn’t realize they closed at 2. Despite the fact that we probably made some of them stay about 20 minutes later than usual, they seated us and served us in a friendly way and repeatedly told us to take our time. So, while they were trying to clean up for closing, they provided friendly service and never signaled the annoyance they must have surely felt. The menu had a good spread of diner-style breakfast and lunch items, enough to make this place worth coming back to multiple times. I had chicken and waffles with scrambled and sausage. The scrambled eggs were about as good as you can make eggs- they weren’t ‘fluffy’, but they had that creamy quality of some sort of added fat…I’d bet money that it was cream rather than butter but I could be wrong. Really tasty, though. The chicken and waffles was like a chicken finger sandwich with a waffle bun. The waffles were good; the chicken fingers didn’t quite have the fried chicken taste that would’ve gone much better with the syrup sweetness, but it was good anyway. One of my dining companions had the grilled chicken and eggs, and they reported that the grilled chicken breast was amazing. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the sausage patties; they didn’t have that meaty bit of chew to them and the taste was just not really there. If you’ve ever stayed at a Holiday Inn and had their breakfast sausage patties, these are very similar (I’m not really thrilled about them either). They’re out to please here, and the food is good. This is a good breakfast/brunch/lunch spot.
