Went today, the food and service were average at best. Servers and bartender didn’t interact well with the guests. Cajun pasta wasn’t spicy at all. Otherwise it’s better than a box restaurant .

Almond Crusted Halibut. Fish was amazing01 Jan, 2015We ate at Village Cafe last night and our food was delicious. We had the calamari appetizer, ribeye and halibut. All 3 were excellent and we can’t wait to go back and try more! Our service was excellent as well even on one of the busiest nights!

Not kid friendly. We used to really love going to the old Village restaurant that was at Banks station, the latest version on hgwy 54 has great food, however, they just are not kid friendly. Be prepared to be stuck or asked to move at some point to a corner or anywhere else to be away from other eaters. I didn’t catch on after a few visits with my wife and 2 year old until the last visit. It was a Friday with an active bar area and a loud party of 15+ in the back room that our kid was too loud for some customer. He wasn’t . Whoever it was just hates kids, period. We were almost done with our meal (soup& salads only) and were asked to move to the corner. So,great food, but be prepared to be treated as a nuisance if you bring kids due to the senior folks that tend to gather there.

The Buffalo shrimp were good. They were good for me but too spicy for my brother. Overall it was a little expensive. Nice atmosphere. Menu selection was excellent.
