Tipsy Pig–Just Average At Best. I have absolutely no idea who’s writing these reviews. I just return from the Tipsy Pig, after driving from Midtown Atlanta all the way out there because of the reviews. It was just average bbq at best. The ribs were tuff, not much flavor to the meat, very little sauce or rub on the ribs. I’m not trying to be overly critical, but I know what good bbq taste like, having family in Memphis, TN and tasting THE best bbq in the world some would say. However, I’m just comparing them to other local bbq joints. The young lady at the counter had a wonderful personality and the bad bean were outstanding. The collard green were finely chopped and had various peppers in them but no real flavor at all. Again, not attempting to be harsh because I have a feeling they could do better. They scored a 100 on the food inspection that was hanging at the counter and that says to me someone takes pride in the business. Now let’s work on those ribs.

We ordered the Family Pack for $26 and the peach cobbler for $2.50. I was worried we wouldn’t have enough food for the four of us but they give you plenty. We got the fries and baked beans as the sides. The sauce tasted like it was vinegar based and I liked it although the kids didn’t. All the food was tasty but you should know the pork is cold and not hot. Had the pork been hot, the meal would have been perfect. The man (owner?) that served us was real friendly. Be advised there are only 3 tables in the gas station!

Great Pulled Pork. Delicious pulled pork. Family pak is worth it. We had more food than we could eat so we enjoyed it as leftovers too. Great sides and desserts as well. Service was very courteous and expeditious. The fact that it is only 3 miles from my house could be dangerous. I will not hesitate to go back.

Delicious BBQ. This is some of the best BBQ we (my husband and myself) have ever had. Delicious pork sandwiches and sauce, good Brunswick stew, delicious potato salad and slaw. Their fries are good too. I’ve never been to a BBQ place that has so many really good items on the menu. It’s hard to decide which ones I want. The people that own Tipsy Pig are friendly and accommodating with any order.
