Embarassed while eating. I wish I could have given 0 starts to this restaurant with regards to embarrassing treatment I got. I went to this restaurant for buffet and the waiter (I dunno mebbe hes owner) was watching how much food I am taking and how many Naan I am taking!!!!! It was embarrassing eating food there. If you guys cannot sustain Buffet then why you offer it? The worst treatment I experienced ever at a restaurant. I left my food in midst and took my leave from the place. Except paneer tikka rest food was average.
A 6.99 Indian lunch buffet is becoming harder and harder to find. But here you get what you pay for. The food is very bland. And the only way to get the buffet to go is if you have the lady fill the container for you. And when I asked about a side of rice pudding to go, I was going to be charged an additional three dollars. It will do in a pinch, but there are other good Indian restaurants in this area I would try first before coming back here.
I think Bukhara will require 2 reviews: one for dinner and one for the lunch buffet. So far I’ve only had dinner. Good Indian food, but not the best in the area. The proprietor was friendly and the waitress was as well. Both were helpful (we were ordering family style and I had some specific questions about the samosas). They even brought out complimentary rice pudding for dessert and that was very, very good! The rest of the meal was good. I’ve had better butter chicken (creamy tomato sauce with chicken) and better dal makhani (black lentils in a creamy sauce). Both were better than average but nothing to write home about. The yellow dal (lentils) was okay at best. The samosas (pastry with spiced potato and meat filling) were pretty good and size able. The palak paneer (creamed spinach with cubed soft cheese) was good. The problem is that I have to remind myself that the food and the service were good because after I saw the price I wanted to rate it much lower! Talk about sticker shock! I surreptitiously checked our bill while the owner smiled and made small talk, and got a larger shock when I realized he’d comped us some of the naan and possibly one of the main dishes. All in all the food was good and the service was great, but prepare to take out a second mortgage if you want to take a large party here. Not good enough for a date night for me and my wife, but I might stop in if the lunch buffet proves attractive.
Bland and tasteless. Ordered a Takeout. Price: Higher than other Indian Restaurants in the AreaFood: Lots of bland colored curry and few chunks of meat, whether Lamb, chicken or cheese as I had ordered Lamb Roganjosh, Paneer and Chicken Tikka MasalaOverall: its more like a neighborhood mom and pop restaurant with no waiters visible. For the price and the service, there are better places.
Great Restaurant. Hands down this is the best tasting Indian food in the area. Friendly service. Great quality food with extraordinary Wonderful flavor. Only wish the dinner special for two could be placed on the take out menu.
Great food and service. Good lunch buffet and EXCELLENT weekend brunch buffet. Host is very polite, attentive, and helpful if you want an explanation or you are new to Indian cuisine.
Waited 1/2 hrs for the restaurant to open at the advertised time, then stood at the door and was ignored for an additional 10 minutes. They were well aware that we were here but chose to ignore us. I like the food here and considered myself somewhat of a regular but this is not acceptable. Too many good places to eat in the area.
