Has an OK vegetarian pizza but not as good as Johnny’s Gourmet pizza. Also very crowded & loud Very convenient to our house though.
This was our 5th and final visit to this Mellow Mushroom. Our 1st visit was by far the best & it has steadily gone downhill ever since. For example on our 1st visit I was introduced to their Beer Club, MM’s version of Taco Mac’s Passport Club. I ordered 5 different beers off the menu & all 5 were out. Mellow Mushroom came up with the beer club and puts NO effort to make it easy for its members to drink different beers. Secondly, no matter when we arrive the wait is getting longer and longer for our food to come out after it is ordered. My wife and I only ordered a medium white pizza and we were there for over an hour an 1/2 & we saw two tables change their orders from eating in to carry-out they waited so long. Mellow Mushroom pizzas are some of the best but the Cumming location isn’t!
GREAT PLACE!!!. My family of 5 and I went in on a Friday night for dinner. It was extremely busy, we were quoted a 40 minute wait but only waited about 25.:) Our server was prompt, educated on the menu and somewhat on the alcohol. Our drinks were delivered quickly, our appetizer came out promptly, and our pizza pie came in a timely manner. It was inconsistent with our previous visit (even though we ordered the same thing) but it was still great. Our children’s food came out about 5 minutes after our pie which was not ideal. . When it came out it was extremely hot, meaning it was delivered promptly by the server, the kitchen made the food in the wrong order. Kids food should come first if anything The manager was great, she visited us several times and helped distract the kids showing them special attention while they waited for their food. The food tasted terrific! I was a server for years and would put the Mellow on my ‘top list’. Great service and attention to customers, clean family atmosphere, the kitchen needs a little work but nothing big. We will be regulars!
Great place for kids. Was fun with the kids on the patio. Food was good and place was busy but only because it is good food and a fun pizza place.
Terrible!. We waited for about an hour before we were seated and the waitress was ready to take our order. Only then did we learn they were out of the gluten free pizza. Having family members with celiac, we cannot order anything else. The manager did not come over; he sent the waitress to tell us the news. We requested he come to our table personally–which should have been his first response anyway–and he was a customer relations disaster. He didn’t make eye contact, and wanted to argue. We suggested that if the restaurant runs out of gluten free pizza, they post a sign up front, so that customers don’t waste an hour before being told they can’t eat there tonight. The suggestion, we’re sure, fell on deaf ears. This location just has no interest in taking care of their customers.We left and went down the street to Tin Drum, which was a much better experience in every way.
On 2 occasions now I’ve tried calling in to place and order and the phones have gone straight to busy for over 2 hours straight. Walked in the first time and waited my 30 minutes for a small cheese. The bartender found the phone off the hook. Tried for 2 hours tonight to place an order, no luck. Finally stopped going to busy and got a girl on the line. Quoted me an hour wait and wouldn’t let me speak to a manager. Not going thru it again. I love their pizza but this new locations number is now deleted from my speed dial since it can’t seem to work for me.
Same great pie in a new location!. The food and drinks were excellent. The outdoor seating was rather loud due to the passing vehicles. Hopefully the servers will get the hang of their new jobs soon.
