Great food!. We are so happy that we decided to try China City again. The menu is different from the one they had last year, but under the same name. Compared tonlast years menu, this one expanded hugely. The other Chinese places in Fort O have closed or went down hill. The food last year wasnt great, but was a change. We ordered food for take-out. Teryaki Chicken, General Tso’s, Mongolian Beef and fried dumplings. The combos come with TWO sides…choose between rice, soup, egg roll and drink. The egg drop soup was very good and flavorful, not watery like so many other places. The egg rolls were great and the rice was good. The entree portions were big and a pont of rice goes a long way. All chicken was cooked perfectly, as was the beef. Very distinct sauce flavors for each dish. The General Tso’s had a nice, lasting low level heat. I asked for a side of sweet and sour just to see if it was good. It was good, but not a strong taste. They do offer a side of white sauce with each combo as well. If you like white sauce, you won’t be disappointed. Everything was awesome! I looked online, they have a website. It seems to easy to use and it offers online ordering. It’s been so long since having really good Chinese and we are tickled that Fort O has a great Chinese place again. The only thing to make it better would be….DELIVERY!!
Moo Goo Gai Pan. Tonight I could not figure out what to get… so I went down to China City and got something I have not had to eat in a long time. I just about get any type of food spicy or add tobasco or order jalapenos… you get the idea. So I thought I would try something mild and not add chili sauce or anything hot to the dish. Well, I would not make a habit of this unless I had to but the dish was very good. Lots of all white meat chicken and vegetables with a velvety smooth sauce. Last time it was General Tso’s chicken and it was good as well. You get the pt size serving and with the side of rice it is more than enough for one. Two could probably make do with it, although some soup or other sides might compliment a meal for two better. All in all, an under rated restaurant in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.12 Apr, 2011I like it…. If you want quick and convenient Chinese take-out. This is a nice choice. It helps that the restaurant area and bathroom were both spotless on my visit!
