I’ve eaten here several times over the past year. They have honesty gone from a 2 to a 4 rating. Last night I had a pulled pork sandwich with fries. The bun was toasted and buttery, the pork was excellent, but the fries were nothing to brag about. The draft beer is a bargain at $1.99 and the sauces are very good (3 to choose from). They still have a ways to go, but the quality is improving.
The food is BAD, except for the premade cookies. And the decor looks like bad redneck Pinterest DIYs gone too far. HOWEVER, they have a mechanical pig you can ride. So it’s not terrible.
Great find off I-95. Stumbled on this place by accident. We stopped in for dinner on a Wed. night. Both my wife and I had the dry rub ribs that were incredibaly good. The Eastern Carolina vinegar BBQ sauce set them off perfectly. The corn on the cob was also a delightful suprise in that it was lightly smoked as well.Sampled the ‘shine shooters that are worth trying, especially the redberry. Nice selection of local craft beers as well.Service and price were both very reasonable.Only dissapointment was the collard greens. they were a little tough with a bitter finish. the pot liquer was deffinately lacking in flavor.Overall I would definately reccomend this place as a great BBQ joint, and generally fun place to stop in.
Excellant. Just ate here tonight. Both our meals were very good. We had the brisket and smoked chicken w/ salad bar. Two thumbs up!
Bad Food Experience. Had supper at around 5:30pm on 9/2/14 and it was awful.Ordered beef brisket which arrived cold and chewey, and too much fat.The biscuit was stale and cold and not eatable.Would not recommend to anyone.
Food was not good. Paid was too much for overcooked vegetables and dry meat cornbread was only thing decent. Advertise Fri and sat full line seafood on buffet only crawfish and few shrimp in a low country boile
DINNER RESULTS. We had dinner and I ordered the Bar-B-Que sandwich on garlic bread. The bar b cue was very good. The bread was a little soggy. The French fries were limp and not very tasty. I also ordered, my mistake, a side of macaroni and cheese at $2.95. It was in a very small container. No where near the cost in value. I will never order a side as an extra during any future visits. The place is somewhat unique in they also sell vegetables and meats as a grocery store.
