Great food! My husband and I both got the regular size portion of shrimp n grits and they could have had some more flavor but still good. Be sure though for your signature side to not get the fried green tomatoes. They only give you 2 and they were small. The squash casserole was a good portion ( a cup) & very good. Would definitely go back.

I have no idea how this place gets good reviews. When we checked in (no reservations allowed) we were told the wait was 15 minutes. We were seated 45 minutes later. The restaurant has obviously been open a long time as evidenced by the tired decor, so they must have known from experience how long it would take and should have given us a real estimate of the actual wait time. While we waited we had wine. $10.50 for a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc? That’s almost the price of a bottle! Fortunately they had a special where a whole bottle was $15 with an entree. The food is traditional Southern which means much on the menu is deep fried. Tried to avoid that by ordering the spiced pork tenderloin. It wasn’t fried but it was so overcooked that it was tough as leather. And the only spice it seemed they used was too liberal an amount of black pepper. Also tried the shrimp and grits. It actually was reasonably good. The shrimp were grilled and not overcooked. The dinner rolls looked and tasted prepackaged.I will say the prices (beside the wine) were inexpensive, but in this case I think you get what you paid for. We will not be going back.
Service was outstanding! Food was fresh and great as well. Had the stuffed collard greens and they were delicious. Fried green tomatoes were nice and crunchy, not soggy at all. Definitely recommend the bistro!
A great dining experience. One of our favorite stops when heading south is Jekyll Island, GA and one of the best dining experiences on the island is the Driftwood Bistro. The staff are friendly and service is professional. The food is great and you’ll find the petite portions to be plentiful.

Very good. We didn’t want to drive off the island for dinner so decided to trust the reviews and try the DB. The food was great and the service (Pam) was great. Loved the fried okra and the squash casserole. We visit Jekyll several times a year and look forward to eating there again.
